“Then, in my final year in 2025 I got halfway through the year and decided to pack up and come home. … Freo presented very well to me, I saw the opportunity and thought I’d definitely take it.”
Makes sense. Some of his efforts this year were really poor. Looked like a player that didn't want to be there but hey we had a few of them didn't we.
Some gratitude to the club would not have gone astray but I don't want one single player on our list that is not invested. My only concern is that SMay doesn't stink it up if he ends up playing at Casey but he seems to have taken the feedback well.
The freshness of the club is a relief, happy to see the back of Judd type players who aren't on the bus.

I think we have an absolute ripper here, love his swagger and his highlights look sensational.
His comment about best on and off the field is not surprising and not far from the truth according to a work colleague.
Am told he definitely enjoys himself off the field but has improved recently .
I'm sure the club would be well across this.

I thought that was the best game of AFLW I have ever watched.
Dominated the 3rd QTR but didn't take their chances and you cannot do the against arguably the best team ever in the comp.
The girls should be super proud of their effort today. They simply ran out of gas and North took control in the last 7 or 8 minutes.

He looks even more of a million dollars than I’ve ever seen him before.
It’s such a shame that he’s nearer the end of his career than the beginning but kudos for his dedication and application.
Great to hear.
Was bizarrely dropped for an unfit Lever after being in great form.
He is still a lock in my team next year and with his fitness, attitude and work ethic he may still have a few seasons in him.

Do nothing and we may well have finished lower or the same in 26.
Doing nothing was not an option and by clearing out fragile players or troublemakers and replenishing the list with top 12 picks places us in a stronger position
Time will tell but it's a strong message to the group
100% this. We've had significant change to the list the coaching group and the powers that be.
It should have happened a lot sooner but I'm bouyant after coming close to falling out of love with the club such has our demise been since the flag.
I still think we are bottom 6 next year and that's ok. We could turn quickly after that.

I'm happy with our overall result. We had to get Trac n Clarry out, to not do so would have prolonged our pain. It's just a shame May couldn't find a home then King would have had an absolute clean slate.
Mihochek and Steele would have to be 2 of the most respected solid characters in the league and they are in our team next year.
I expect bottom 6 again next year but we have now turned the corner and can now look forward instead of back to 2021.

Is there a knock on him, is his body cooked? Is he past his best?
We are in desperate need of culture change and leadership qualities and i would have thought this guy has it in spades.
We are bottom 6 for a few more years I reckon and need a no DH policy to turn this club around ... on and off the field.
Good call 😎

Disco is a lock.
Lever, Petty, T Mc and maybe even May for the remaining spot.
I liked Wade because he could play both ends but Mihocek is the guy to structure around up forward and we’ve got 3 young guys, big AJ, Melksham, maybe some Petty. So it’s covered.
Time to start churning the list with some high upside youth.
Agree re Adams. I've not seen much to be enthused about even at Casey but hopefully he gets solid game time next year. I'd rather he get games than May who we look likely to retain.

We will be even more hurt when Clarry commits himself to being a footballer again.
Kingers will be the best thing to happen to him. He will not accept anything other than optimum output and commitment and we will all be reminded of just what a monumental fall from grace we instilled upon ourselves.

With the backing of the club, they cleaned out the experienced players, and we were left with high draftees who couldn't fend for themselves. We were in the doldrums for over a decade.
The Pies were in a worse position to us when Buckley was sacked. They had cap issues which resulted in a firesale of players, but they kept the experienced players like Sidebottom and Pendelbury, who were said to be on the decline. With a new coach, they rebounded quickly.
We were competitive against some of the better sides this year, with a mix of senior players and some youth. I would like to see how it goes with a new game plan, and the young players gaining more experience.
If we lose Trac, Clarry and May, and don't top up with quality, I see us as a bottom 4 team.
We've been bottom 6 with them for 2 years. All of them are toxic.
We are likely bottom 4 with or without them next year but keeping them only prolongs our pain.
Fancy going through all this club destruction a 3rd year next year. No thanks

With that being said, we may need him to field a team next year!
Yeah good point re ball movement.
But what price is setting standards around the club? We are years off contending again.
I love both Trac n Clarry but the thought of going through this mess again if one stays will do my head in and out rebound will only take longer.
Can't believe I'd ever say it but I want both gone otherwise it's rinse n repeat.

Its ok, the world will not end. The 2021 Tracc was the memory that I will never let fade, and a lot of our problems stem from losing Jackson and then Brayshaw, the later who was obviously culturally massive and also had a linking up role we never came close to replacing.
Would be really crazy though if we trade him and Clarry and then suddenly in 2026 footy moves away from transition, gut running both ways and outside surprises and goes back to Carlton-style inside clearance work and Tracc gets a brownlow!
Dont take it personally with Tracc. Its possible some of the reasons he fell out of love with the club were valid, but others may not have been and time will tell. So many times when pushed to say he was still red and blue he would reply with 'i still have a passion for football' which made it pretty obvious he didnt want to say too much. Thanks for 2021 Tracc et al but its 2026 incoming and things change.
More likely us upping his trade value but a very sus result. I'd have Bowser and Kozzie well ahead of him and probably Rivers

Number one in the gun is Tim Lamb - he is borderline incompetent in every aspect of his job.
Agree. What we are witnessing right now is a clear indication of just how inept and dysfunctional our club has been for the past few years.
It's embarrassing and everyone involved from previous coach, board, entitled players and anyone who turned a blind eye to the unfolding mess should be ashamed.
2021 doesn't seem that long ago but the failures of our club since then are extraordinary.
Bring out the broom and start again.

Even if it’s true that he and Lily separated, it doesn’t explain waiting for 12 odd months to sign a contract you were given and had amended multiple times.
Lots of excuses re: role, waiting for a new coach, but IMO Freo and his WA manager were in his ear all year and finally got what they wanted.
And if anyone says “home sick” I’ll remind you Judd is not from Perth, and WA has two teams.
Funny how he isn’t requesting a trade to the wooden spooners isn’t it?
Saw him at Casey on Friday watching the girls, doubt he'd be rocking up to watch them the day before defecting if they'd broken up.

If King has come along as said bad luck this is where I see you and it’s not good enough for Mcvee then see you later.
100 % Dgirl.
I don't get all the angst on here.
We've been a fractured club for at least 2 years. We need a massive sweep of the broom and a clean slate to move forward as a united club. I don't want anyone involved in the club that doesn't want to be here.
Get the best trade possible and move on.
