  2. Bagging individual players is not my gig, However i am forever frustrated that players who get paid telephone number salaries, have set shots at goal, and cannot kick straight!!. There is no excuse - from a mark or a free kick that a player misses a goal. Please guys, practice practice practice, and kick straight, It's your job and you are killing us supporters!!

    Melbourne_Clash-concept7.gif

am sure Clint wont mind..itsa cleaner effort than the one i did :)

Still reckon something along these lines but perhaps teh "New EMBLEM" in situ rather than the 'MFC" as shown here might be the goods,(as well as appropriate change for sponsors etc ) but only those who have seen the Emblem can make a judgement !! ( which would be ??)

    This one. No white!!

Red and blue or blue and red!!!

  5. Last year half way in the last qtr we were only 10pts behind the Saints. I would like to think, no, expect we have improved on last year. We should not accept anything less!!

If we can take it to the pies and the dogs, we should take it right up to the saints. I think our biggest issues are between the ears!

  6. The Melbourne Football Club wishes to advise that Colin Sylvia was admitted to Hospital on Saturday evening following the Club’s Round 11 game against Carlton.

Sylvia was enduring severe pain in his right big toe during and following the game on Saturday. Following medical assessment, Club doctors were concerned about the blood supply to the toe and transferred Colin to the Epworth Hospital, where a test revealed a clot in the main artery on the top of his right foot.

Colin is currently receiving treatment in hospital and will remain there for the next three days.

General Manager of Football Chris Connolly said “This is a rare condition and Colin’s availability for this week’s match against Collingwood will depend on his response to the treatment. ”

The Club will provide an update to the media as further medical information is made available.

  7. Really? You think those songs will attract supporters? We have the best song in the league. No way I'd be changing it.

Like I said I am a purist, and I love our song. This issue has been raised by a few other supporters I know, that our song does not mention, the name of the club or mascot. The second chorus

Oh, the team played fine in the year Thirty-nine,

We're the Demons that no one can lick, lick, lick

And you'll find us there at the final bell

With the spirit of Twenty-six, six, six.

It is a bit out dated and hardly sung, All I suggested was MAYBE a new chorus in line with a new image.

  8. We have the only Team song that doesn't mention, the name of the club or mascot. May be a new chours. I am a purist however if you want to take our team to bigger markets the team song should mention the team.

Melbourne The team of the red and the blue

    Geelong We are Geelong

    Collingwood God old Collingwood

Fremantle We Are The Freo Dockers

W/ Bulldogs Bulldogs through and through

St Kilda Oh' went the saint

Carlton We’re the only team old Carlton knows,

Sydney Swans will go in and win overall

Port Adelaide Come on, Port Adelaide aggression

Essendon See the Bombers fly up

    Brisbane Go Lions, Brisbane Lions

North Melbourne Good old North Melbourne

Hawthorn We're a happy team at Hawthorn

    West Coast We're the Eagles

Adelaide We're the mighty Adelaide Crows

    Richmond For we're from Tigerland.

  9. If we weren't playing the mortal enemy that is Carlton next week, in what should be a winnable game for us, I would agree.

But we need Beamer to defeat possibly the greatest evil in the AFL... CFC.

If his name was David Hille, he could do it three time and still get off!

  10. Green best on, are you serious! Was good, but he had some absolute shocking patches of play in the middle of the game. Very fumbly.

    6. Davey - sets up our best passages

    5. Junior

    4. Jetta - sensational pressure, hard at it and used it nicely

    3. Jamar

    2. Bennell

    1. Frawley

Apologies to Miller, Trengove, Jones, Sylvia, Green and others. When 22 guys play a role its amazing what can happen.

Green - 16 Kicks, 7 HB, 9 Marks, 3 goals including the winning goal.

Well thats your opinion, But I thought his influence had the biggest impact to our win!!
