In the local supermarket last week, saw this tall ginger fella in the check out line. Thought to myself he's massive, did a double take as it was Clarrie. He's huge for a midfielder, especially for a guy who plays down around his toes a lot of the time. Going to be one of our best ever to have played for the club.

"Only" 7,000 of the 20k free tickets were used on the day. The crowd was a big one for our 2 teams even with the 7k newbies coming along. Come on Dees!!

He was amazed that players do not just try and knock the ball out of the arms of the player with the ball as that is by definition incorrect disposal and a free kick. Why rubbish I saw this numerous times on the weekend and not 1 was paid.

50k+ was a great crowd. One of the ladies in the office is new to Australia and took up the offer with a bunch of her friends. She'd never been to a game before and she really enjoyed it. Hopefully we'll convert her to an AFL fan but more importantly to a Dees fan. Well done Dees!

Anyone care to explain why Maxi kept getting pinged at the centre bounces? I've (neither do the umps apparently) literally no understanding of the rules in the centre circle.

Can you, or anyone explain to me (and I hope others) what the fk he was being penalised for? "Blocking" or "shepherding" in the ruck? I have no understanding of that rule. He gets pinged for it often but he ha his eyes for the ball. Makes zero sense to me.

Yea enjoyed the day and the concept, not sure it will take off but like the overall idea.

Ha fk me, the wife constantly tells me off for not double checking my spelling, grammar etc. She would have a heart attack seeing that one!

I don't recall feeling as nervous before a game since the mid 90's when we were relevant. I hope we win and are propelled towards finals. In saying that I feel this year really is a stepping stone to next year and a massive push for those illusive finals.

God I hate ESS, worst fans in the comp by far. Seeing McGrath and Parish run around for them is embarrassing for the AFL.

Thuggsy or not that was chit and it should be another holiday so he can get super dooper fit for finals. You know when you're raising the foot up, high, intentional and whatever grading they pull out of the hat.
