Nathan Burke who is on the MRP did say on ABC radio yesterday they try to get all players off in terms of suspensions. Guessing Zak Jones and Matt Rosa aren't on the special list.
Is this true???
It wouldn't surprise me as me as it seems the AFL are pushing the 'brand' or 'entertainment' line and we don't want our stars missing etc etc and failing to understand what the tribunal was designed for

I actually think we play this ground better than the G.
Has Goodwin brought his game plan from Essendon which is Etihad based??
Does it stand up at the G?
Im not sure which way it will go but I hope we improve on the G

Is that the one you wanted.
Yes but need a couple to end the contest.
Five scoring contests for one goal will cost us!!

If we don't score a goal from this momentum we'll lose this
-
First to kick accurately will win

Damn it's even Stevens now... if we could of kicked another (without their point) we would of broken them

Please don't let a late one in

Love the Trac/bugg handshake

Had a hip injury that has kept him out for five weeks and might have impacted 'tis early season form...
He was the captain of a team playing off in the grand final in 2016... you can have bad seasons but don't lose talent overnight
-
Wouldn't mind having a crack at Jack.., he has been injured this season and he would be perfect at 29 to replace a Vince.
Only if he came to us in a Lewis type deal
leadership but not expected to be our best player and I think he would suit our team
-
Is he a restricted free agent or just out of contract??

The ump on the day signal high against Salem then advantage. Don't know where the high was but that was the call/signal.

I think the year was destined to be a waste the moment we lost our two ruckmen. We can manage generally but when arguably your best player, and reigning AA ruckman, goes down for a large part of the season and your back up quickly follows suit then you are always going to be in trouble.
And I agree that we've had some serious lapses in concentration that we need to quickly get rid of out of our game. I don't think any sane person would argue that. But you could also argue most sides have done the same things we have due to how even the competition is. Sides will make you pay for it now.
We have the cattle, we just need to add the composure under pressure and the ability to put sides away. We haven't had a list capable of doing this in a decade so we still need to learn how to do it, which is hopefully not far away.
West Coast lost their first two choices as ruck include NiCNat as an AA ruckman... they don't write off the season because of it
FFS our ruckman is walking around the club calling himself 'the difference'. Whilst in humour, it shows that our players except/believe because we have an injury to our star players it's okay to but up an effort and lose

Firstly, about the letter. Seems primarily directed at Goodwin, somewhat on a personal, previous experience. Together with speaking for other people as well.
The "author" did also seem well aware of how this letter was going to be blown to where it would do damage. That said....
This site is a sitting target for haters, it is well versed in sarcastic, umpire abusing, media reviling, side splitting humour that a lot of blokes here love, god bless them.
JKH abuse verged on ra###m for me, and i was not amused. The rest was childish and amateurish in my book and water off a ducks back.
The bloke has been the boss for seven weeks. There are blokes still to play, and we have one of the most lauded outfits in the AFL. Give us a break. It only takes one win "next week"
Willmoy can you please explain how you consider the letter racist.
I would honestly like to know as my initial thought is 'just because you criticise a bloke who happens to be indigenous' that doesn't make it rascist, which is what I inferred from your comment

So you do consider it acceptable to publicly humiliate a player... ok, your choice.
And you may have noticed I stated that I do not accept derogatory comments about players on here either... so NOT head in the sand mentality from my position.
I really don't think he was humiliated but his performance was questioned and in particular goodwins decisions were questioned.
Whilst not mainstream, I work in an environment where you can be told your performance is sh^t and not look to blame someone else. Most look at their performance and know they can improve it or if not find out what they are doing wrong.

Did you read my comments closely... there is a hell of a difference between bagging of a player on Demonland (which I personally don't agree with anyway) and doing it on social media (Facebook and Twitter)... the numbers of people viewing these comments via social media can be ridiculously high and they are far harder for a player (in this case JKH) to avoid. And then for the actual news/sporting news media to get hold of this and run with it, then the impact on the player is going to be far greater. Sure JKH may not be performing to a level that many here and elsewhere don't consider to be acceptable, but do you really think such a broad public humiliation is acceptable, particularly when he is most likely trying his hardest and considering that he does not choose himself when it comes to playing in matches?
So it's okay to make comments as long as no one finds out???
The head in the sand mentality on here reminds me of the old 'dont ask, don't tell' policy...
everything is fine as long as it's not public, then we have a problem

It is fine to question and scrutinize decisions. But why be so outlandish and hand such rubbish onto media jock. It attracts nothing but bad publicity and yet again can be used to humiliate the club.
If one wants to question Goodwin's decisions why not email him directly? I have in the past, along with other members of the MFC, and they reply.
The guy hasn't stated anything untrue, so I fail to see how they have contributed to the clubs humilation.
Whilst they have highlighted it and caused the AFL media machine to analysis Melbourne decisions:performance (above the other 17 clubs) the only people who have humiliated the club are those that make the decisions/play for it.
Sometimes the truth hurts... and although I doubt this will cause any change maybe it might start the conversation

They have a more even spread of players. Their senior players are more settled in the side and overall they have put together more consistent performances.
There is always a reason(ie excuse) as to why others clubs can do it but we can't.
We are always heading there, we just never arrive.

Where did I say the comment was wrong?
I for one have been stating JKH as a bad move since his initial selection (you'll find my posts if you search).
The author is an imbecile though for attracting bad publicity against the club.
So although we all agree with the contents of the message it shouldn't be said in public????
I don't understand this stance or position. Why should these highly paid professionals avoid having their actions scrutinised???

While I don't agree with the contents of the letter, I'm actually happy about it.
For too long a Melbourne loss was a shrug of the shoulders, an oh well they tried. It's about time more was demanded from this club and unacceptable performances are put under the microscope.

Perhaps, but I find it extremely distasteful that this letter has been spread through the media, singling out and no doubt completely humiliating JKH. I don't care what anyone thinks of his skills, or lack thereof, this should NOT have been put out there for the world to see... JKH is a young player trying against all odds to become the best footballer he can and then he is hit with this???? To put it mildly, I was disgusted and I don't know who I dislike more... the moron that wrote the letter, or the morons sharing it all over the internet and the media outlets displaying it in related articles.
What!!!!
Demonland isn't a closed group so everything on here is in the open forum. What's the difference between bagging a player on here or on social media????
