  1. Top of my fantasyland list would be Hodge, Andrew Swallow or Matthew Boyd. Sewell is a good one. Luke Ball or Lenny Hayes would be good too. Someone to just set the tone, basically show the endeavour of Bartram, mixed with a bit of leadership, and less diabolical skills. I know I've said that we shouldn't have picked up Ball in the draft, but I think the timing was wrong when he was available. To bring someone like that into the side now, would really help.
  2. I'm not sure how much time he has left in the game, but I'd like to acquire Jude Bolton.
  3. Agree rpfc, but not sure Cornes would demand a spot. He's really a tagger, and the press has severely limited their impact on the game. I'd give Sylvia & Morton for Boak & Cornes. Probably even throw in our 1st round pick this year (weak draft).
  4. We won't even win the spoon! We'll be on the edge, just outside the 8. Surely that means, with the same improvement, we can get that elusive flag in 2012..? Actually, I've seen some poster write somewhere that we'll lose a lot of supporters going into next year - I think the exact opposite. Unless we hire a completely uninspiring coach, the euphoria and optimism that comes along with that will have us breaking the membership record again. We might even crack 40K. That's not to say we'll really get a flag next year. But I think there will be a buzz at the club if we acquire a Neeld, Sanderson, McCartney or a Hinkley... let alone mention Malthouse.
  5. Interesting that he was sure that Brisbane was losing one of Rich, Leuenberger or Clark... until Brisbane announced that both Rich and Leuenberger had signed on. The bloke has NFI. He knows as much as the bog standard BigFooty poster.
  6. You've missed a few of the best bits. Clearly Matthew Knights is the coach being talked about here: And I think this is an area where Bailey has excelled and will not waiver, no matter how many people create threads about the "Cameron Bruce Debacle": Edit: also consider how this may apply to Neale Daniher...
  7. belligerent, volatile, righteous, indifferent

  8. I reckon he'll go top 20, we might not even get a bite at him with our second round pick.
  9. I simply don't agree with you that Watts is actively avoiding contests. He may not get to them, or may be in the wrong area at the time or working towards making an option further ahead, but I take exception with your conclusion that he is avoiding contests by his own design or that of the foorball dept. That's it.
  10. You said he's avoiding contests to start with ...and then you said that was indisputable! I don't know what makes you think he's avoiding contests and i think its a fairly strong accusation against a young player who is trying to get a feeling for the game at AFL level. The first instance of idiot was warranted. The second time was in jest, the stupidity referred to what you were saying rather than you yourself (there is a distinct difference) and i never said you were on drugs, but it seems i managed to omit the final word from my last post, which would be 'about'.
  11. Sorry mate, maybe i should've included a lot of those emoticons that I seem to be allergic to - <_< Not an angry post, I'm just laughing at the stupidity of some of things you are saying. I find it hard to believe you could honestly come to some of these conclusions. Its more like you are bored and trying to make mountains out of molehills so you have something to debate. I don't get it, whatever you are on.
  12. I'd say I watch a lot more footy than you. Idiot. I'm waiting for your evidence that he 'avoids contests'. What a ridiculous conclusion to make. A KPP trying to find and get into space is a foreign notion to you is it? What do you think he is, an inside midfielder..? I think the onus first of all is on you to provide some evidence that he avoids contests, then we go from there. And to say that its indisputable..? This is where the 'idiot' comes in. Your move.
  13. I'm afraid I dispute this. I think you're an idiot if this is what you've deduced from watching him play. Just my opinion.
  14. I thought so too, until a little earlier today I watched some of the Freo win from last year -- Morton actually looks a bit more solid now, albeit not by much.
  15. At the moment he looks like a talented 18 year old who needs to develop his body. Who in their right mind could possibly be surprised by that..? Although... Cale still looks like that too. But he's only a year ahead of Watts. Prendergast always said our draft picks were chosen with an eye to the future and they would take time. Be mindful of this.
  16. A taller stronger better Pendlebury. He stops and props just like him, has the same poise and not coincidentally has a similar basketball background.
  17. Tingay Farmer Lyon Jakovic Schwarz
  18. Interesting assessment... Anyway, fwiw i too think he will end up a Whelan clone. I damn hope so too.
  19. I thought he was more like Whelan, which would be even better
