  1. it isnt but its good to get some bloody honesty from our players.
  2. And then they'll lose any chance of a future class action against the AFL. Guaranteed the AFLPA will tow the party line on anything relating to concussion.
  3. Carlton lawyer would be all over that and win May a brownlow as a result. Pity, we have AA.
  4. I reckon the fact that we are not in contention for finals may have factored in as well. Does anyone know who was on the tribunal? They should be named and shamed.
  5. I knew it. Its an absolute joke. Adrian Anderson needs to be sacked. Alex Pearce must be laughing his head off.
  6. They are, but i have a feeling that the AFL would buck all trends and make a call on this one.
  7. It’s about 18 weeks overdue. I expect next preseason to focus heavily on defence again. Whilst a lot is made on our ball movement, we have regressed monumentally defence wise. Especially in transition and against turnovers. I get that we are probably not used to defending this way given the focus on offence, but we have given up way too much for little gain offensively.
  8. Just like Greene and his kicking during marking attempts. One has a tax named after him whilst the other gets away scott free.
  9. That’s a major upgrade for GCS. The King brothers have been a bust.
  10. Glad the media have found a different club to go after.
  11. They will make a play for him for sure. Whether Harley accepts it or not is another thing all together. It does help that he is good mates with Caddy. WC are just [censored] (thankfully for us) that they didnt take our offer years ago. They would have gotten 2-3 gun players. Reid at this stage is very much looking like a bust and nowhere near capable of reaching the ceiling that he was reportedly capable of.
  12. haha. such a typical Melbourne move. but you cannot fault them for trying. Still tells me that the club is completely unaware of the significance of the kicking skills going inside 50. If we had Budy, Riewoldt x2 and Joe all at their prime in our forward line, we still wouldn't kick more than 80 points.
  13. Everyone remember what happened to West Coast after 2018? Most of their stars continued to play years after but were absolutely hopeless and that started the absolute joke of a team that they have today. Whilst it’s not an exact comparison to our current state as we are brining in good talent. It’s hard not to see some similarities in the drop off of their top liners. The comparison in journey between Tigers and WC was made on radio today and how the Tigers made a decision to cut deep to quickly rejuvenate the list whilst WC seem to prioritise their senior players . The Tiger got rid of Bolton, D. Rioli , Baker and got a number of solid first round picks. They probably made some mistakes brining in Taranto and Hopper in and should have gone to the draft in hindsight. I think we have to take these lessons and look to bank some picks this year and next wherever we can. Hoping our players like Lever, May, Trac and Oliver will turn things around is becoming less likely with every game we play. I thought 2024 was a ‘refuel’ type year but with our 2025 I think it’s safe to say we are now on a downward trend and have yet to hit rock bottom. We need to take some drastic action to minimise the time we spend down here and give ourselves an opportunity to have a tilt before the end of the decade. As has been said plenty of times before, Trac and Oliver are not likely to get us much. We’d be lucky to get a first rounder - I hope they show something in the last six weeks but unlikely. Fritta may get us a late 1st. Same with river and Lever. I’d be hellbent getting rid of anyone under 23 as they are the future. As for trade targets, it’s not the time for pursuing trades unless they are FA. But for FA to come to the Dees we’d need to pay significant overs, which we probably don’t have the capacity to do with our current crop. It’s becoming a bit of nightmare scenario.
