  1. Feels like Allan will be a demon if still available at 9
  2. I know JT knows more than me, but the risk of passing up on one of Langford/Draper/Jagga/FOS for Tauru is just something I can’t wrap my head around if it comes to fruition
  3. Twomey has implicitly ruled us out as one of Armstrong’s potential suitors. There is a god
  4. I may have misheard, didn’t he say he doesn’t expect Tauru to get through to us?
  5. I thought lever was having an awesome year pre-injury. If he gets back to that level next year then we won’t need a replacement for half a decade
  6. A characteristically obtuse article from the worst journo in the biz
  7. My bad, I was saying 5 is a reach for Allan, not 9
  8. I have a huge concern with Armstrong (outside of his marking), that being his disposal numbers. I’m well aware KPFs are there to kick goals, and not rack up the footy, but averaging less than 10 touches in the CTL and carnival is worrying. When I think of the best KPFs (curnow, Cameron etc.) I think of their ability to link up play higher up the ground, marking high up the wing, and being involved later in the play, forward of the ball. Just checking the stats, Jezza averaged 16.1 touches last season. The best KPFs in the comp don’t thrive off <10 disposal games. To be averaging that at u18s level suggests that Armstrong is a long long way off being AFL ready.
  9. Concerns over kicking is probably the biggest knock on Allan, though. I’m big on the kid and he’s by far my preference at pick 9, but seems redundant to overlook Draper, whose agility and evasiveness is immense, because of concerns re his kicking, but reach on someone who also has kicking issues, but doesn’t probably have the same ceiling that Draper has.
  10. Nightmare fuel
  11. Spidey senses are telling me FOS…
  12. This would mean with pick 5 we’d be picking between 2 of Langford/FOS/Draper, wouldn’t it? Assuming norf take Tauru of course
  13. Smith and Allen would be a good result, good foils for each other
  14. May be so, I just detest the idea of spending a top 10 pick in a ‘super draft’ on a raw key forward when we’ve taken key forwards with our last pick in 2/3 drafts. I’m still bullish on Jeffo, and JVR has all the makings of an elite Key forward. What’s more, our 2021 flag was built on an outstanding midfield, not a ridiculous forward line. I’d prefer to address our aging midfield before the inevitable media swarm next offseason
  15. Lindsay is a weird one for me, I’m not sure I see enough in him to warrant selecting him over say an Allan or Travaglia. Doesn’t really stand out to me, could be wrong
  16. The thought of getting Armstrong is very disheartening. What happened last time we took a key forward at pick 9?
  17. Feels as if it’ll be between Langford and Smith. Unsure who I’d prefer
  18. Twomey I reckon called it 2 or 3 days before. I remember being skeptical at the time and wishing we’d go for Curtin. Glad to be wrong
  19. I feel like the majority of mock drafts I look at generally land on us taking Langford at pick 5, with pick 9 being completely up in the air. Langford at 5 would most likely rule out Allan at 9 (both big bodied mids). I’m just hoping we don’t end up with Armstrong. Don’t want to knock a kid, but I am happy with JVR-Turner-Jeffo as young KPF stocks at the moment. Petty can go back with may approaching retirement. What we need is pace and class in the midfield/off HB.
  20. Well if Tauru is available at 9 (he won’t be), there’s almost no chance we’d pass on him
  21. Wow. I was initially hoping for Jagga at pick 5, but after watching this highlights package I think Draper has leapfrogged him. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aPBd_hppxYc
  22. Just re Tauru, when was the last KP draft bolter that ended up being a game changer? I’m sure there would’ve been some but I can’t list any off the top of my head. I’m skeptical by nature, but fairly glad the rumours suggest we’re cooking on him
  23. I mean, if smith’s off the board and Draper is available at our first pick, I wouldn’t hate picking him up 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
  24. Assuming north are unable to trade down past our first pick, and take Tauru 5 - Jagga 9 - Bo Allen others I wouldn’t be disappointed with would be Draper or Langford at 5, and Travaglia, Reid or Smilie (unlikely gets there) at 9
  25. No offence to Bowser, but I’d want to draft someone with a lot more upside than him at pick 9 in an ostensible super draft
