  1. Actually, if Ess were to trade up, surely it would be their 5 & 6 for WC 2&13.. If that happens there's no other obvious avenues for us to trade into an early second..
  2. West Coast might be the play. Especially if Essendon trade up with them to get pick 2. Gc F1 & 37 to WC for # 13 & 34. Or just GC F1 for WC pick 13. WC spread a pick into next year presumably Ess trading up will give them an extra early pick this year..
  3. I don't buy it. We traded 23 to GC as part of the package that got us their F1 in the first place.
  4. If he was worth two firsts surely we nab him
  5. Jeez there are some hard taskmasters here.. These aren't the finished products yet..
  6. They don't the currency. They have pick 16 then 48
  7. I've seen a few phantoms where Sharp drops to us. Surely we pounce yeah? The cupboard for developing inside mids is pretty bare..
  8. A month ago this draft was so bad we traded out of it, now it's on our doorstep we're selling the future to have more pics in it... We have to make up our minds 😂
  9. Zero chance we use 7 or 8, his highlights show flashes of kozzie-esque movement but not too much else. Imo it's not between him and Dovaston - Dovaston an early first and Sumner Pickett a more speculative late first/early second. Dovaston cake Latrelle cherry on top.
  10. Grlj/Taylor & Dovaston combo I feel will be a great result. Would he happy with that.
  11. Where's the fun in that tho?
  12. [censored] yeah been sleeping on this guy. He's exactly what we need, that's some great drive from the backline, playes similar to Rivers with better disposal. Huge yes from me.
  13. Our future second wouldn't be that far off their future first either. If it's the cost of doing business, so be it. It's just interesting to note in the heat of the trade, pics are just numbers swapping hands, but when the rubber hits the road, we now probably miss out on Pickett
  14. We gave 24, 28 and a future second. Surely we could have kept one of 24 or 28 and told GC to use their nepo privileges to make the points up another way.
  15. That Judd compensation we threw away to GC would come in handy right about now.
  16. From that you've got to think it's either 2 mids, or a mid and a "need" (best small or Tall Dovaston/Schubert). Was all suppositions from Cal. We're gonna have to wait for more water to go under the bridge.
  17. Thank God. You'd think that after we just moved on Oliver and Tracc, have an ageing Viney and for the most part unproven kids as depth..
  18. I've warmed so much to Dovaston I'll be [censored] if we don't draft him. It's not that I necessarily think he's elite - I've seen better highlight packages in my day - it's that I feel he will bring what we need, what Kingy wants, and in an area of the ground we're lacking.
  19. @adonski bigfooty's a bit light-on in the phantom drafts this year no? There's only like a few people that are doing them..
  20. Every year is a Collingwood death ride my guy.
  21. He seems to make the right decisions, has a bit of composure and balance about him. Looks to be one of those solid peices you need in your midfield, a bit of break away and delivery to the forward line. Little bit of Spargo about him. We couldn't do much worse than him and Dovaston at 7/8
  22. "Daz Talks Footy" had us taking Dovaston and Farrow @ 8:42
  23. Aussie Rules Rookie Me CentralSam Cumming Draft ProfileNorth Adelaide prospect Sam Cumming is a powerful and competitive midfielder-forward with strong work rate.SNAPSHOT: “An explosive and competitive midfielder-forward who reliably wins contested ball and has added weapons to his game.” – Michael Alvaro Sam Cumming will be among the most highly sought after prospects at this year’s draft after an impressive couple of seasons with North Adelaide. The midfielder took out last year’s SANFL Under 18 MVP award as a bottom-ager, making 10 appearances for an average of 27 disposals. He also turned out twice for South Australia at the Under 18 National Championships, and was selected to play in the National Futures game. With such exploits under his belt, Cumming was inducted into the 2025 AFL Academy and impressed during a preseason training stint at Port Adelaide. He came into season proper with huge wraps on his potential, and delivered to become an All-Australian by the end of SA’s title-winning nationals run. The best was yet to come, though, as Cumming stepped up into North Adelaide’s League side and made an immediate impact. Amid arguably his best patch of form for the year, he starred with 21 disposals and three goals in Round 13 against South Adelaide. Unfortunately, his season ended in a fourth and final senior game after injuring his shoulder three weeks later against Central District. Still, Cumming was fit enough to participate at the National Draft Combine where he showcased his explosive speed with a sub three-second 20m sprint time. Cumming is quite well travelled already having played his junior football in Wentworth, a town over the New South Wales border in the Sunraysia region. He also represented Bendigo Pioneers in the 2022 V-Line Cup, but ended up attending school at the prestigious Prince Alfred College in Adelaide and thus linked up with North. He’s a Hawthorn supporter and models his game on the likes of Sydney star Isaac Heeney.
