Cal's dropped his phantom. You can bin all the others

So Cal says Farrow and Nairne, with Essendon going Taylor and Sharp (and Dovaston at 9 with pic swaps) and Rich going Cumming and Robey. How we feel about that? Another WA boy...?

Intersting Dovaston had recently (in the last few days) received an invite to the first night of the draft and putting the peices together it's around the same time as Essendon were dealing for pick 9, and Dovaston and Taylor (best mates) were seen at Essendon training.. Could there be something to this?

Yeah just seen that confirmed on the AFL site reported by Cal Twomey. Met with him like they did Lalor before but unlike Lalor didn't confirm with him (Cumming) they will take him. But the inference is there.

Yeah I'd do the WC trade. Oscar Taylor @ 13, WC F2 will be handy and we already traded our F2 to GC as part of the Tracc deal.

Who would Hawthorn want at 8 that they couldn't get at 10?

I can't see us passing on him so easily if somehow every other of our choices are glns.2 Supposedly his greatest asset is his leadership and fight. What rebuilding doesn't value those traits?

Also apparently Essendon have done a lot of work on Shurbert. So is that their plan with 9?

Are we sure we have zero interest in Sharp? Maybe if we had other options we wouldn't be interested - but if all our other targets are gone do we really just overlook a possession beast with such high calibre so easily? We lost Clarry, Viney's in the twilight, Steele near the end.. It can't all just be on Langford. Sharp could very easily be the best available to us if Essendon play funny buggers.. If we haven't already, we better start showing some serious [censored] interest in Sharp right about now

I'd be surprised if Taylor slipped through, seems to be linked quite heavily to Rich and Essendon pics. I'm starting to think it will be Farrow. Out of all the players we've been linked to he's been spoken about the least with the pics before us, and we do love taking a WA kid..

Maybe we "reach" on Oscar Taylor. Wouldn't be mad ad that.

Then we go need. I reckon Dovaston could come into the frame in that scenario.
