  1. Not 15 on that Elliott behind…
  2. I guess I’m a bit confused what the difference is between the incident May is going to be suspended for and the incident where May got concussed himself… In both incidents, all involved players are going for the ball, but May will be suspended for a 50/50 ball that he missed by a millisecond where both players are running for the ball, whereas nobody will be suspended for a flying knee straight to the back of May’s skull (which didn’t even result in a mark). I love a speccy, but if they’re going to pretend to care about player safety, I do not understand how a running flying knee like that one or the one that almost killed Trac last year is currently acceptable but what May did is so vile blah blah blah.
  3. Tonight is the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. I hate watching the sport right now. I can tolerate our team being bad. But I cannot cope with officiating that is this bad. I like to think I’m a pretty smart guy and am fairly rational but I’m now honestly struggling to believe the AFL is not rigged at some level. This sport is in a bad state at the moment and I just can’t keep watching it week in and week out the way it’s currently being umpired.
  4. I think this might be the end of watching footy for awhile for me. I just can’t do the umpiring anymore. It is not a fair sport. It is broken.
  5. Free kick Carlton. Free kick Carlton. Free kick Carlton.
  6. If you do not think the umpiring is having a significant negative impact on our ability to win this game, you need glasses.
  7. They played on…how do they get a free?
  8. Ran quite a way there…

  13. I certainly don’t disagree that we aren’t where we should be—and what the posted graph says to me is that we simply play to the level of our opponents rather than playing to a consistently high level, which is very frustrating. But I feel like it’s kind of unfair to ignore any positives about where we are at/might be going, or to ignore some of the nuance and complexities of the players we’ve lost/gained.
