  1. Trade Week is finished ENYAW. Sail away.
  2. is he better than Wagner? That's our current HB base-line.
  3. Demons by 36 points.
  4. But the real issue is that jack was wide open and all alone on the insta-lead and Trac just didn't have the vision to see him right there in space on the friend's-list. #it'snotjacksfault
  5. Way overs. You could probably secure Jake King for around 20 large.
  6. You're not posting from Canada perchance?
  7. Literacy programs?
  8. This is a cool post. I wish I had posted it.
  9. Seems tenuous.
  10. Long arms, puts them out in front, and most importantly - eyes always on the ball. That will translate to ground-work. I'm well and truly sold. Pick 29 if we're super lucky, but I highly doubt it. A first-rounder is my take.
  11. There was a recruiter who once drafted Morton. He had a full-time job as a recruiter. He presumably spent hours and hours pouring over footage of Morton. He no doubt interviewed Morton, and maybe even ordered a psych report on Morton. He perhaps spoke to Morton's school-teachers and sports' coaches, possibly even Morton's mum: who, for the sake of economy, we'll presume here to call Mrs. Morton. I do have my doubts that our star recruiter cared much for trends in physical conditioning, but, regardless, the point of this story, is. simply, Morton.
  12. To me, I think he has quite a special sense as to weighting. But no point arguing about it now. We'll have plenty of time to discuss it if he makes it to the red and blue.
  13. Although I'm an atheist, I've always been quite fond of his name. My top-three favourite names currently on the list at the MFC are as follows: Petracca Bugg Gawn Apologies to Salem, Stretch and Oliver. And Pedo has his own special category.
  14. Straight to the wing at Casey will suffice. My point was more that there doesn't seem to be too many wing specialists to come out of junior-age level. Curious why.
  15. The Jack Watts trade delivers the final blow to democracy. I for one welcome our new overlords.
  16. Dodgy kicking? Or dodgy kicking style? Looked unusual but sweet to me, perhaps even pre-iconic: speed chips (tm). A perfect fit with our game-plan. Alongside Oliver. Everyone will be bitching that he doesn't hand-ball enough.
  17. Liam Ryan I'm guessing will be this year's Nakia. More precisely: not this year's Nakia, but the 'Nakia' of Nakia's draft year. That is to say, he will go pretty early. Nakia.
  18. Once again I'm sold on your say-so. Can we send him straight to the wing though? We're always looking to push someone to the wing. Are there no wingers at underage level?
  19. Advice taken rpfc. I'm retiring with 'general soreness' and won't face another delivery in this thread. There were some wild bouncers early on, but I expect it'll all be pretty much repeat stock balls from here on in.
  20. That's all good and fair, except most of what I said was empty platitudes. The Hawks were certainly exceptionally skilled with their kicking, but no one would doubt their toughness for one second. Of course, you would prefer both, but that would make for a rather boring poll. I personally think our lack of skill is overstated - primarily because Goodwin is attempting what you proscribed; trying to get a step ahead of the game with a super high-risk run-n-carry game-style (which at times oddly strikes me as rugby-league-ish - or maybe more so Ultimate Frisbee). I have no idea if it will work. But it's not Mark Neeld a year behind the curve, and it's exciting and unstoppable when we're on. I think we're lacking some finishing skill in front as the biggest issue. We're not capitalising enough on our i-50 entries, high press, and momentum. Delivery inside is an issue. And people will naturally point to the Jack trade. But for me, at the risk of making a contentious statement, it's the lack of marking and scrap from our two star KPF's which were the problem last year (when they were on the park, or not having an alternative when they were not available).
  21. We may get to 300 but this one is grinding toward an unsatisfying draw. Can we declare it a dodgy pitch, abandon the match, and retire to the club-house for a beer yet?
  22. I thought there would be a poll. Toughness. As the AFL slowly drifts toward rolling mauls. Can't hurt with skill if you can't win the ball.
  23. Why's that?
  24. I so desperately want this player - who I've never seen and know practically nothing about - that even this existence of this thread is making me anxious, as if the NMFC recruiters might hear of this bloke on Demonland and swoop in before us.
