  1. Has anyone got Jack Vineys kicking efficiency for last 2 weeks?

The problem the MFC have at the moment is lack of depth on our list. Since the departure of Josh Mahoney Tim Lamb has weakened our list. Some of it beyond his control (Gus and Joel Smith) both big losses for different reasons. BUT look at Lambs record. 2022 In Grundy ( gave him away for nothing a year later) Lachie Hunter (a cultural disaster apparently) Josh Schache ( no comment needed) Out Toby Bedford (error) Jayden Hunt ( line breaker) Luke Jackson ( probably inevitable) Wiedeman. 2023 In Fullarton ( What did Goody say last year “Can’t get a kick at Casey!) McAdam and Billings ( say no more) Out James Harmes ( no world beater but had heart) Grundy (for pick 46 mind boggling). 2024 In Harry Sharp ( doubts after yesterdays game but too early to place judgement) Tom Campbell ( hopefully they play him because I watched the practice game against North and thought he was very good not what I was expecting) Plus we have given extended contracts to our older players all of whom aren’t great kicks and are not getting any faster The end result is we have no depth in our list. At full strength with Pickett May McVee and Windsor in we will be competitive but lose a few and we have to play Howes Woewodin Laurie etc we are no where near the best sides. Tim Lambs decisions deserve far more scrutiny
  3. Can someone tell me what Chandlers role in the side is? Still can’t believe we kept him and let Toby Bedford go

Well IF Pert did shop Clarry around and the Board shut it down his position as CEO is now untenable
  5. I also was lucky enough to make it to Perth to witness our glorious victory. After witnessing our defeats in 1988 and 2000 it was bloody fantastic. I travelled from Queensland spent 2 weeks in Quarantine in Tasmania and then flew to Perth. What annoys me about this site is the presumption that everyone at the game were West Coast Supporters dressed up as Demons. Just not true. I was surrounded by die in the wool Dees. I went to the final training day on the Friday and not sure how many Dees supporters were there but heaps as were the thousands who gathered in the Mall on Sunday as Garry Lyon presented the players and the guttural roar that emanated from the crowd when we hit the front in the 3rd quarter was spine tingling. My point is there were so many true supporters there. I would suggest there were double the number of true supporters at that game compared with the paltry crowds who came out to support the Dees in our last 2 home and away games this season. Just saying.
  6. Bring Steven Smith in yesterday. Was a great player in a poor team. Kept Leigh Mathews kickless in a match then Leigh did what he did in those situations king hit him from behind. Smashed his jaw I believe ( on YouTube). Is smart with a legal background, sensible, passionate about the Dees is a past and very good and popular President of the MCC
.light years ahead of the incumbent. Bring it on
..please.
  7. OMG Kate Roffey interview on Whateley what a train wreck! I had my suspicion about the leadership at MFC now I am convinced. We need an outside audit of the club not another Gary Pert inside job. If we have got the best culture in 40 years of Pert’s experience then we have nothing to hide. I am however sceptical. It is obvious our President is out of her depth. Gary Pert was appointed without Due Dilligence against the express wishes of Peter Jackson ( the best Administrator the Club has had in 40 years). Peter wanted Josh Mahoney and was prepared to mentor him. Pert was bundled out of Collingwood following an external review. He is a spin doctor and has cast a spell over Roffey who does not have a AFL background .The other leader under the spotlight has to be Alan Richardson also ex Collingwood in that era followed by a underwhelming stint as St Kilda Coach. He must take overall responsibility for our list going backwards in last 3 years. The members should demand this external review now. If all good no probs we all move on but I suspect it won’t

  9. Firstly this is the first time I have posted on Demonland. As a lifelong Demons supporter (40 years paid up member) I have had a gutful of those people who on this site refer to last years Grand Final crowd as “Rent A Crowd”. Myself I flew from Queensland did my two weeks penance in Hobart and then flew to Gulag WA for the game. I watched the teams final training run before the game along with I would estimate 8-10000 other Demon supporters ( not West Coast neutrals but true Demons ). I was surrounded at the game with genuine Demons and went to the Sunday post game Parade along with another 10000 other Demon Supporters . The guttural almost primeval roar of the crowd in the 3rd quarter had to be heard to be believed ( just ask Simon Goodwin). This wasn’t the roar of neutral supporters. I wasn’t at the game on Friday but if the “true Melbourne supporters” were as quiet as church mice as stated by numerous supporters on this site that is sad. It certainly was not like that in Perth
