  1. You are asking a question you have already decided... A bit disengenuous. Bailey needs moreof these performances, more often, but if he gets them I don't care if gets an extension. I just want to see improvement and the makings of a flag winning outfit.
  2. That's what we will see won't we?
  3. x2
  4. Perfect response. This thread is why 'lol' was invented. What a strange way of looking at what happened today. Bailey has obviously built a team that can be lethal; the next few months will determine whether they can build consistency and improve in key areas we have been recently shite in.
  5. Grimes - did an ankle Bate - what about me? I've broken the cardinal rule...

    Addam Maric

He looked very comfortable out there and I hope he gets some confidence from it, because North at Etihad will apply a bit more pressure than the Crows did today...
  7. Really great effort. Our forwards were maniacal - even Bate applied some great pressure and he turns like a freight train.
  8. If he was stalled, he rattled through the gears today. 16 contested possies and hard run and tackling. Really great game.
  9. I knew we went in with two ruckmen! What number was he? 14? 24?
  10. That's pretty much where I was trying to be. He has everything. He should be doing more, more often, than he does. But he is getting better, if stalled over the last 6 weeks...
  11. Give more than that you two... Last year he started to get his own footy. But he still relies on getting hands to the outside, and being delivered the ball as he still plays a lot of his footy as a flanker. He's in the centre more now, but I expect more from him than the decent footy he is delivering. We should all be expecting more.
  12. And if the players were happy to play in wool you would get your perfect red... Light changes the colour on these fabrics. Sweat changes the colour on these fabrics. These are not excuses, these are facts. I think you are an apologist apologist. Always standing by those that say, ad-nauseum, that anyone attempting to give reasons for things is an apologist. Stop making excuses for these people who only see excuses, and realise that there is no excuse for seeing reasons as excuses.
  13. Now I am an apologist for NB?! ICGAF about NB. 'Apologist' is new buzzword at the minute... They are making AFL guernseies for the first time, they are having issues. And their Chinese workers aren't helping. Asics had years to get it right, and they steadily got worse.
  14. I don't think we were ever going to have the situation where NB, who were doing this for the first time, were going to get the colours right.
  15. He's a frontrunner. He still relies on others to get the ball into his hands. With a body like his and the talent he has that isn't great...
  16. They made Essendon's red like fluro... There's some merit in that...
  17. I have nothing much better to do... The most striking thing is that we have had two games out of 5 in which we have be blown out of the water in the key stats. Inside 50s especially, and we are currently in a 'false currency' with the stats because we have played the two worst teams in the country. The efect of those two games will flatten out mid year and we will see some actual worth from this thread.
  18. I would agree that they both have played some great footy, but they have also gone missing for stretches, and that shouldn't happen to 27 year old players in the LG. The difference between their best and worst footy is still too great. I'm marking them harshly (aside from the fact I have a major problem with our 'senior' players) because they chose to be seen as leaders, and they don't show much leadership when it is needed.

    Over-reaction?

Well the 'perception' on Land is pretty much with DJ... I really don't know where the 'apologists' are? Artie Bucco (who reads a lot like KS - without the acidic one-liners) would be close to the lazy and feckless term, but at least he attempts to back up his posts with some argument. I think the median view on this forum - from those posting and not posting at the moment (don't blame you - it ain't fun the way we are travelling) - is that we are not showing signs of improvement, Bailey and the FD are under pressure, there is a lot of BS from the media that we are eating up like wild boars.
  20. I stand by that statement. People will come back with various shades of the pink-red-burnt orange region of colours. New Balance are doing this for the first time - they will get it right in time for our flag in 2014...
  21. If you don't understand, you will never know. And I won't tell you.
  22. Dunn rucking... Ugh.
  23. Well the certainly have gone to water of late...
  24. It's not pink. Go down to Taubmans and tell us which colour it is. You will all say different colours.
