  1. I did say 'might'...
  2. I can only give my personal experience. I will say that I am bringing this up more because of the fact that I can recall Russell Robertson in 2006 having this done at a podiatrist or similar - having never done it before. Basically what I want is for the club to make sure the players get some time with a podiatrist - because they evidently didn't in Robbo's time.
  3. Another team in Brisbane? How will that grow the game? And the article was the quickest thing I could find pointing out that whether you are a strong Manly or St George, or an 'expansion' club in the Gold Coast, NRL teams are finding it difficult and require the extra TV funds that will come to stay afloat. Meanwhile the AFL has $200m to dump into actual new markets in GC and GWS that might actually reap a return on investment.
  4. Callous, ahrdened skin is one thing, but I have had issues in the past from dead skin turning into deep blood blisters from the rubbing. I guess it depends on where the blisters are - I would say that excessive dry skin on the balls of the feet and toes would be problematic. Callouses on the heel would be ideal.
  5. Can someone tweet back and tell him to go to a podiatrist and get the dead skin from his feet removed - which, having no knowledge of what his feet are like, I would wager be the major cause of the blisters. I honestly thought that the club would be doing something as simple as this surely?
  6. Where is the NRL money being spent? In and only their heartland: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/sport/cash-row-puts-four-nrl-clubs-on-the-brink/story-e6frg7mf-1226165286325 The AFL are putting their money into expanding the competition in addition to shoring up The Heartland ©. It's a narrow but deep distinction.
  7. We all knew you typed with one hand busy...
  8. What I am saying is that the AFL is pumping money everywhere - first and foremost - the emerging market that is west Sydney. The NRL isn't pumping money anywhere at the minute and when they do - it will be west Sydney. It doesn't bode well when you are spending all your time and alot of your money in your own backyard. And the league clubs rely so heavily on their venues making money. It's just a sad fact. I'm not saying the NRL is stuffed, I am saying they are poorly managed and stuck in a malaise of their own making. They still haven't got their independent commission and teams are hurting.
  9. If the journo at the Brownlow didn't wish to continue her career in the footy business, Fev's career would have ended already. http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-sport/claims-of-sexual-assault-against-fevola-20091009-gqc9.html Not everything was 'lovable larrikin' antics... He's deserves forgiveness but not charity. A club will have to decide whether it is at that latter stage now.
  10. It should be noted that we acquired a rather large asset with that debt. And the talk was that the Bentleigh, properly run, will pay down it's own liability. But that is not as easy as it sounds...
  11. Won't go backwards? But they need to go forwards to survive. The Pokies law they are trying to fight tooth-and-nail illustrates my point. The AFL can set-up funds to pump into PA and NM and us, and there is that need from the NRL clubs - especially those in the west - but they do not put that kind of cash into the clubs. Once they get their $1bn TV deal and pump that money into the west of sydney it's a catch 22. They have to put money into their own heartland? That is not a sign of good health.
  12. So Gallop has to be either scared and eating his fingernails or ROFL? He would be concerned as the clubs in the west operate on razor thin margins and they get little help from HQ - Gould whinges about this every sunday... If GWS has an impact - it will be felt.
  13. The horse told you?
  14. This is very true. They are very keen to keep you on the drip feed for as long as possible and smash you in the years you can't be stuffed calling up and having a [censored] for tat with Customer Relations...
  15. Good to see.
  16. It means the other side of the ground. Usually 'fat side' is preceded with 'switch to the.'
  17. Yoda would not say these things. Can we please give this guy 'Range Rover' back...
  18. I said "why would anyone want to leave Serenity" and that, to Joss Whedon fans, is a ironic show of unearned faith that there is nowhere better to be than the place you are at. Subtlety is lost on you though...
  19. Completely understand. I am just saying that there is 'tv sport' like the NFL that people actually fill the stands to see.
  20. And that is why you fail... lol I always maintained he could go - I just trusted the kid that he didn't sign when you said (via David Schwarz (via god knows who)) that he signed in October 2010. And then when he did go - all Range Rovers/Yodas christmasses came at once...
  21. Here we go again, hmm? The Melbourne Football Club was not complicit in any HWMNBN shenanigans. I couldn't care less about an effing GWS player anymore, but don't you tell me the club knew of the betrayal and kept it quiet to keep up appearances or whatever wafer-thin reason you can think up.
  22. I'm not saying that - what I am saying is that unuanced statements are just that. Bailey was doomed form the moment he took charge of that list with the lack of committment to the FD. I disagree that black is black and white is white - you may wish to think of things in these terms but they are rarely so simple. And I mean that in terms of Bailey being a good coach/bad coach - Neeld is taking over with vastly different circumstances to Bailey... And I thought he was gone after the Bulldogs loss, the idea that we could have kept him on after 186 is absurd. He had to go. That is black and white.
  23. You get the SD PVR (160GB) with the basic package I believe. You could be inventive and get an external hard drive if you are worried about storage space. But there is so much crap on Foxtel... And it is repeated often...
