Thinking Joel Smith would be a Casey starter if BBB was playing ones...and Thommo in the two's if Disco was bumped up.......

The Pies have been contained to 70 points or less V Saints, Tigers and Crows this year......looks like that attacking game of theirs can be stymied. Could be it's going to fall on our half forwards, mids and wingers to stop the wave of runners surging from their backline....... hopefully our defenders will maintain their good form and further disrupt scoring opportunities. Part job then done with the question of whether we can also kick a winning score hanging there - the Magpies won each of the aforementioned sub 70 scoring games.

Fanning will drop in on someone for sure...........

Am interested in match ups in the backline - May on Mihocek / Lever takes Ash Johnson / Hibbo tags Elliot / Thommo sits Cox with support from Gawn and Gundy....

What a game by Tony - very much AFL standard - lots of passion for the team aswel. Great performance.

Magnificent game of footy - Tiggers v GWS. My highlight - Tony Bedford's speed, unrelenting pressure and team spirit. Obviously a class act at AFL level.

Could Hibbo manage Mihocek 0r does May take him ? Could be a good match up......Someone's going to have to counter Cox's height - that could be a real challenge / does Max ghost him while Grundy does the bulk of the tap work? Plenty to mull over for this game...

Agree he's big enough - issue is whether he'll use that size to actually impose himself....

That's what I sort of thought - feel we need our bigger bodies to be crashing packs, inflicting pain.....

Be interested on your take on The Shack - I haven't seen much of him at Casey but during the game with the D's I thought he looked like he had good skills with ball in hand but didn't use his size to impose himself - bit like the Weed, tentative at times....am I misreading his game?

Agree that there are coaching issues but basic skill and decision making processes seem to be playing a significant part in the equation too - Angus Brayshaw hitting a Baggers defender on the chest when he was 20 metres clear of opposition and with 3 D fwds clear and begging for it is illustrative of why our scoring rate has slumped. As are the simple set shot misses ( Chandler last night was sub sub par for eg)

Mate - dunno if you watched the D's last night but the ball movement and delivery into the forward line was disposable plastic rather than silver...if BBB needs to rely upon above par delivery to be effective - well it probably ain't gonna happen.
