I'll admit to being pro Thommo - that said even though he lost a pace or two post ACL recovery, I reckon it's beyond harsh to equate his lack of speed to that of BBB - and what Thommo lacks iin agility is more than compensated for by his high end reading of the play IQ. Hope he's rewarded with a finals berth.

That may well be the case but we're badly short of a tall in the fwd half, time is not on our side with last night and today providing opportunity for the bigger players to show us their wares.Thommo may well not follow up but he competes well in the air and reads the play very well. He's going to get to where the ball is and at least provide Kozzie,ANB,Chandler etc a crumbing chance.

This - Petty was excellent at chf during the first half of the game he was injured. Leading and clunking marks. For mine if the q is Petty or Thommo playing back then it's Thommo by a street on current form. The other q then is tall forward - I go JVR as one and either Brody, BBB or Petty as the other.

I see plenty of upsides to the game, Kozzie, Chandler and Lingers returned to some better form. We had a few major players i.e. May, Lever, BBB and Trac below par and still managed the win. Gutsy effort.

Problem with Eltham was whenever there was heavy rain all the surrounding septic contents would run down the hill and settle on the oval....all the stud stopmark scratches would blow up with infection by mid week.....noice
