I rate his tackling and disposal on par with Langdon's and miles better than Jordon's. FWIW, I fully endorse diversity of opinion but Hunter has randomly been a whipping boy on this site all year. Langdon had a long form slump in the first half of the season and he didn't get nearly as much criticism as Hunter does.

The dislike for Hunter on this site is really embarrassing and cringe. He's been consistently good this year and will possibly finish in the top 5 in our best and fairest. And by the way, he is a way better player than Jordon.

Solid, professional win. First half was a tough watch but we countered Hawthorn's attacking game style really well in the second half. Lever was BOG by a country mile imo. You just knew he was going to take a mark every time the ball was in his direction. I also loved Melksham's game. Would've kicked 5-6 goals on any other day. We've got the double chance locked in. That's all that matters.

I swear it's a myth that Langdon's a poor kick. He's been using the ball better than anyone else lately.

It would be so satisfying if we do this to Essendon someday...

I thought Richmond had the most insufferable fans but I've changed my mind.

I gotta say that it feels like Langdon's carrying us atm. Best game he's playing in a while so far.

Cripps has been very meh this year. I'm not denying that he's a good player but he's not at the forefront of my concerns.

Patrick Dangerfield at his peak would have been handy.

You should watch how Collingwood, Port Adelaide and Brisbane have been playing over the past few weeks. I'd say we're in better form than them.

Agree with everything apart from Gawn and Hunter. I thought Gawn got the better of Goldstein in the second half and Hunter was everywhere.

I thought that was a good win. Tasmania is a horrible place to play and North are far from terrible over there. It's almost scary how similar today's game was to the last time we played them in Tasmania. Pickett's last month has been exceptional. He couldn't have picked a better time to get back into form. I'm worried about Petty's injury though. He just can't take a trick.

This is embarrassing. We clearly just think we can turn up and win regardless of of how well we're playing.

Petty's performance today reminded me of Tmac against the Eagles back in 2017. It was the game where announced himself as a genuine key forward. I wouldn't be surprised if Petty has a 50+ goal season in 2024, just like Tmac did in 2018.

How good was Petty! I was sceptical of playing him forward but I've changed my mind. Everything he touched turned to gold. All in all, I'm thrilled with that win. That was a very high pressure game and we held up brilliantly. Still got another four games left but I'm much more confident heading into the finals than I was this time last year.

Wow Petty and JVR look like a pretty damn good forward combo.

Anyone who thinks that our midfield has been functioning better without Oliver should watch this quarter.

Harmes and ANB have been butchering the ball like crazy.

Anyone who undermined our win against Adelaide should watch how they're playing tonight. They're a very dangerous team.

They really weren't

Brilliant again today. His will to win is simply out of this world. I think he deserves to sneak his way into the AA team at the end of the year but he seems to fly under the radar as he's been living in the shadow of Oliver and Trac over the past three years.

Well those last five minutes were like a walking heart attack but thank god we won in the end. The biggest positive of today's game was our small forwards. Pickett looked very threatening and it was great to see Chandler get his confidence back.
