  1. Reminds me a bit of Brendan Lade. If he could be anywhere near as good this pick would be a surefire winner.
  2. They have all been guessing. Anderson had us taking Curnow at 3 for weeks and it turned out it was based on no more than a hunch. I like that there has been no leaks. Still think we take Parish at 3.
  3. Teams like the Blackhawks and Red Wings seem to do just enough to make the playoffs and back themselves once they are there. Macca your Canuckleheads got it done late against my Blackhawks today. I'll be copping [censored] from a Canucks mate this week.
  4. Oliver reminds me a fair bit of Moloney, with how he gets possession then generally kicks long. In his highlights video I would have liked to see more of a balance between going long and picking out targets. Parish is much better at finding a target. I reckon Bummers supporters must be doing their heads in with who we are going to take at 3. We have enough inside bulls already - time for some polish and class.
  5. Voted other as I am rather keen on Ryan Burton. Only caveat is how his leg has recovered but Jake Stringer had a similar injury and is fine.
  6. Would Ryan Burton be a reach a pick 7? I guess the major issue is how his leg has recovered, but before that it seems he would have been top 5. I also like that he has a bit of strut about him and would complement Jesse well. There's a 2 part story on Ryan on the AFL website which includes some highlights and Ryan talking about the injury and recovery: Part 1 - http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-11-04/going-places-the-moment-that-could-have-ended-ryan-burtons-afl-dream Part 2 - http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-11-05/going-places-20-months-without-footy-but-burton-might-still-go-top20
  7. I'm thinking they will take Milera, who is a bit of a Harley Bennell type. Listening to Jason Taylor, I'm now fairly confident Darcy Parish will be called out at Pick 4, after we bid on Callum Mills, forcing Sydney to burn a whole heap of picks to take him at 3. At pick 7 (or whatever it ends up being - Hopper and maybe Hipwood will be bid on by then) I hope it's Weideman but either Francis or Oliver would be just as good. Not sure about Curnow.
  8. Snoop Dog has us taking Ben Crocker at pick 40 in the BF Phantom. Watch his highlights reel and he looks quite the player - kicked the winner for Vic Metro against SA. Played mainly forward in the Champs but seems he is mainly a midfielder for Oakleigh in the TAC Cup. Does need to work on his kicking a bit but is a nice mark, particularly 1 on 1.
  9. Guessing he's a Pies supporter. Essendon being in the winners also made me laugh.
  10. Think we will bid for Mills with pick 3. It's win/win really - Mills or Parish.
  11. 6 = 1751 and 29 = 653 so 2404. 3 = 2234 and added to 49 which is worth 287 would be a fairly even trade.
  12. It's a punchable head but now it's OUR punchable head. Can't say I'm a fan but I'm happy to be won over.
  13. With players naming a club of choice when they want to be traded, free agency effectively starts at the end of the players first contract (or earlier if you are Tom Boyd). The club the player is leaving from either accepts what is offered up by the other club or if the player is out of contract they could end up with nothing if the payer ends up in the draft. Compo picks should all be at the end of rounds, and none in the first round. Clubs should also be able to trade players without their consent too.
  14. Exactly, and as supporters there's not much we can do if we don't like it.
  15. It's not official yet so it is probably waiting on other trades we are doing to lock down what pick it will actually be. No need to panic.
  16. What about 6 and Howe for 3 and one of 19 or 22? Trading 25 for Melksham would be no problem at all then, even moreso if Dawes and Toump are traded for picks that could land Bugg and Kennedy.
  17. You would think going from some of the talk over the weekend no team had ever won 3 in a row before now.
  18. The compromised drafts have suited them beautifully. Use trades or free agency for key position players and rucks, then draft mids and flankers. The other 17 teams are just feeder clubs for Hawthorn - maybe they should all stop trading with them if they want to limit the dominance.
  19. Prefer Eagles to win as Hawks supporters are by far the worst winners. They will still be telling us about in a week when the rest of the world has moved on. Flogs.
  20. Would be magnificent. What a player he is.
  21. Highlight for me was Phil Davis losing his [censored] at his teammates in the rooms - guessing at half time, and the whole time Heath Shaw is doing up the laces on his boots.
  22. So North get kissed on the dick by the umps for the whole season, and last night is the end of the world? Spare me - they are the worst stagers in the league and only made it past Richmond due to umpiring non-decisions.
