I know others are super keen to see us try out this extra tall attack but I'm pretty skeptical.
Regarding Tmac on a wing, as much as the guy can run all day and presents a mismatch with marking contests I worry about his mobility/agility when the ball hits the ground or the opposition win the ball especially in wet conditions. His tackling in close has been great this year as seen in his forward 50 tackling and pressure numbers. But on the large wings of the MCG I think he could really get burnt but some of Richmond's wing/mids.
My only concern with this side this year has been the Russian roulette we play with allowing the opposition move the ball freely through the corridor. It was apparent at times against the Saints and especially against Geelong where we allow fairly free movement through the middle and really work hard to get numbers back set up behind the ball. The mids and wings simply need to put enough pressure on the kicker to warrant a poor inside 50 sending it down the throat of any of our intercepters (Lever, May, Gawn, Rivers, Brayshaw). I don't see a formula where Tmac can do enough defensively as a predominant wingman.
T Mac as a lead up forward is a good thing, but the wing experiment wont work. They will try it though.

incredible how quickly the eye heals up
Nothing wrong with his eye. It was the bone.

Will get taken top 20 and we wont have access to him thanks to another dumb pitiful AFL rule.

You've got to feel for Joel Smith. Has spent more time in the medical room than 3/4 of the team combined.
Can't see us retaining him.
And he was just about BOG before he got injured.

Theres some media talk that the Tigers might debut Maurice Rioli Junior. They must be jealous of all the attention Kozzie is getting.

In - Weid, May, Fritta
Out - Petty, M Brown, ?
Gifting Jones a game this week really makes selection hard. He would have been first out otherwise.

The biggest question yet to be answered is - Is May fit to play or not??
They will leave that one to the last minute.

Has anyone pointed out that with 2:45 left in the 3rd quarter Jackson takes a big contested mark in the goal square which the umpire paid.... then for some reason T Mac was allowed to swoop on the ball and steal the goal.
What rule is that? LJ was robbed of a contested mark and goal.
If anything T macs game was overrated and LJs was underrated.

May just has to pass some concussion tests and he’ll be playing according to Lever on 3aw tonight.
His eye is coming along well.

Peter Moore > Jim Stynes > Jeff White > Mark Jamar > Max Gawn > Luke Jackson > Mac Andrew > Kalani White
The Melbourne elite ruck lineage will go on forever. And so it is written, so it shall be.

Imagine, a group of higher ups at the Herald Sun thought it would be a good idea making him their Chief football writer for the next 40 years.
And then he gets a prime time slot on Fox Footy , 5 nights a week. Hes probably pulling in a few hundred K a year for all his gigs.
The sooner the sun swallows this planet the better.

From a Richmond forum
'Reckon we go unchanged. Gawn is in form but also as soft as ruckman get. Dimmer would trust nank to break him.'
Imagine being this deluded.

Only Lever and Tomlinson played 100% - mainly saving the game for us, but most others seemed to be rested a bit more than their normal TOG%'s. - forward planning
Lever and Tomlinson got plenty of rest in the last 20 minutes ?

Agreement for the first Gawn and Salem not so on the others.
This is three weeks running that coaches have agreed the top 2 but little if any agreement on the others.

Max is the clear leader! What a champion
4 Demons in the top 15!
So Trac has polled in all 5 games., His consistency has been amazing. And Salem has been amazing too.
Four Demons in the top 13, not bad.
Also Ed Langdon didnt get a vote. I didn't have him in my votes either which shows my superior footy nous. He was very good though just didnt get much of the ball.

Anyone else thinking that ANB's position could be in jeopardy. He had a very good game in round 2 vs Saints but has been relatively poor in the other games.
If this wasn't such a critical game and if we didn't have so many inexperienced players in the 22 I could see he being dropped.
Id drop him for sure. We will be even better when Bedford is in the AFL team.

Tempting fate in writing this: Buddy injured so will miss our game in 3 weeks. We have been very lucky so far with our opps 'outs' - it has to run out sometime...
Swans will be out of gas by then. They wont play finals. I can see us beating them by 100 with May, Fritsch, Brown all back.

Looking forward to his return to the senior side. He will do everything ANB does but hes fast and skilled and just way better.
