Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
We need to nail this pick……just to state the obvious

It looks good on paper but how are you going to feel watching us kick it over Mckay's head while Petracca and Cripps destroy teams rotating mid/forward. We're gifting them a flag and it's a massive no from me.

I just want Carlton to miss the finals as well.

Someone give me the odds of Petracca and McKay swapping teams. McKay also comes with a first round pick and done steak knives.

I hear you but he’s a super well paid sportsman who makes a great deal of money due to his public persona, that comes with the glaring eye of the public. I also don’t think it’s unreasonable of a team’s supporter base that they’d like to hear just a few words from their once in a generation star player. Everyone knows what words they are and the mere fact he can’t say them leads to this thread and all the associated media talk and it’s been left to the club to just play the “he’s contracted” card. It’s become a wait and see game and of course people get frustrated by that.

Maybe that’s right but why wouldn’t you want what’s best for the club, which is to put the story to bed? It doesn’t add up

He can take so much pressure off himself…….if that’s what he wanted. He’s treating us like mugs.

Trade Targets
No I meant we get Peatling and then use pick 5/6
-
Trade Targets
Peatling for a future pick and then use pick 5/6 on another midfielder sounds like a good start

Yet hasn’t told the public he wants to stay………..why is that?

Spargo needs to step into ANB’s shoes over summer.

The club can give us nothing more than he’s contracted. I’d say there’s a lot going on behind the scenes by his manager to try and get Tracc out of the club. Carlton and Collingwood are working out how to make it happen . The club needs to dig in and force him to see out his contract or extract such a good return we drive him to his new club. Not a good look for anyone involved, especially our club.

Where’s Baker going?
-
Trade Targets
I heard him say that and wasn’t impressed. We’ve now likely got pick 6, perhaps pick 5. If that’s not a top shelf youngster or an A grade mid under 25 then I’ll be disappointed.

So he’s going to go off the rails, get injured and threaten to leave?

How Many Weeks For Kozzy?
That wasn’t what I was saying. I was inferring that footy has changed. The bump is dead. The rules are opaque, the umps struggle to interpret them and all the AFL can do is count its money. Kozzie had no hope even though it’s clearly an accident with zero intent. No one knows how the tribunal make half their decisions.

Houston's bump used to be called a footy act......just sayin

New assistant coaches at the Demons?
Someone, anyone, with some new ideas and ways to change the game the way MaCrae and Leppitsch did with Collingwood and Hardwick et al did with the Tigers. We need the next one, absolutely have to get this right. We need to adapt but we still need to play to our best players strengths. Throw the big money at this person, they're going to be pivotal if we're going to have success. We can't be playing catch up, we have to jump in front of the Hawks and Dogs who both look set for some success. Time to be brave and bold I think.

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
The whole team needs to learn to tackle. We’ve been out tackled all year. Fritsch glides one arm across the front of opposition players and then barely chases. Sure he’s great out the back and maybe people are right by saying it’s our ball movement. However tackling and harassing is an all team non negotiable and he’s not delivering. That’s on the coaches now as it’s been that way for sometime. We also need to learn to break tackles, according to me it all comes down to the tackle.
