Sometimes when we would kick a goal, there would be no response bar the cheer squad i.e. Harmes goal where the crowd celebration was pathetic. However every time the Lions kicked a goal, the Southern stand would erupt. So technically we may have outnumbered them, but they were clearly more vocal than our fans.

I was at the game and i would say a good 20-25K were Brisbane supporters. We have been outnumbered again and it probably came through on the tele as well. I get its a Thursday night, but if it wasnt for the BCNA, i would suspect the crowd would have been 10-15K lower.

I thought Weed was ok. Solid team performance, did his role, wasn’t outmarked too much and was serviceable. Maybe we just have to give this kid a different role other than FF, he has good skills and is good mark and kick, he’ll I even saw him lay tackle.

Agreed. From a statistical standpoint, there are simply not enough seasons of football to have been played for these types of insights to indicate much of a trend. Think back to last year and that no team to have finished top of the ladder and won the GF for the prior 10-12 years or something like that. You would need at least 100-200 data points to make any sense of it all.

For 800K for his position I’d expect about a dozen games where he has finished in the top 5 players on the ground. Not sure he has done that tbh. He’s maybe had 2-3 games at most. Id say for LJ, the offer should be in the range 500-600K for 2 years. The contract after that would be the payday if he is indeed worth it.

yes. thats the way i read it. Basically we give them LJ, Brayshaw (because lets face it, he wont go anywhere else) and the compensation pick we get for Brayshaw and our second rounder for two first round draft picks. They really a card short of a full deck over in the west if that is what they are saying.
