  3. Is that the sound of fuse boxes?
  4. This has 80+ written all over it
  5. Pies looking a bit tired
  6. Fumbles look familiar?
  7. If Collingwood don’t hit the wall by the 2nd quarter - someone needs to take some samples…. Their running is crazy.
  8. Lions for me tonight
  9. Gawndy the Great posted a post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Magpies star Jack Crisp investigated after leaked video circulates on social media Does Collingwood have a drug culture issue? They had to deal with Ginnivan earlier on the year and now this!
  10. I think Maysie spoke quite eloquently. Really direct and simple in his explanation... you can see his leadership style is very well suited to younger players. He may not always lead by example, but you cannot question his desire - clearly very proud and ambitious.
  11. 100%. Its game 1. Young players will suffer from inconsistency in effort and output. Even more so in the forward line. He has some good mentors and experience down there that he'll learn plenty from. But we need to temper our expectation of the young man.
  12. Bringing in uncle Byron feels a bit desperate … but maybe it’s what he needs to hear. A footy career is short… playing for a club that will likely win another 1-2 premierships in his career vs 4 teams in WA /SA that will be lucky to be playing finals let alone be too 4. The only club that he could possibly goto is WC who have yet to hit rock bottom. Id hate to lose him but life after Kozzy is possible - upside is we’ll take 3 R1 picks to the draft this year.
  13. I don’t get the city life thing one bit. It’s not like Perth or Adelaide are country towns. They are still big and have their own football crazy media.
  14. But , is the west really a Bulldogs only area? They used to be called Footscray and along with Essendon are really the only true western suburb teams. A lot of these teams used to have their own footy grounds outside of the G / Marvel in their respective suburban areas. So the fans were really based in the respective areas / zones. Nowadays i think most of that is all but disappeared with exception to Geelong and the interstate teams. As for Melbourne supporters, i'd love to know as well, but i suspect you'll find a concentration in the South East to bayside suburbs.
  15. Well i kind of disagree, because it was hopefully with a signing contract emoji. So i read it as "Kozzy happy because he was in the Tim office before training, hopefully signing a contract". Hence the clarification because it can be read multiple ways.
  16. Is this fact or part of the "hope"? Whey else would he be in Lamb's office if it wasn't re: contract?
  17. If Gawny could change direction, then one would think its more likely to be 2-3 weeks away, which is well ahead of expectation. Mind you, Im not a physio so my opinion matters little.
  18. Hodgy said an interesting thing on radio today In that early season is perfect for blooding youth and finding out about certain players.
  19. I see Rivers as an evolution of Hibberd's lock-down role and taking on aspects similar to Maynard from the Pies, who is a real tough 1:1 medium defender that can also hurt you on the rebound. He still has a way to go to reach his full potential, but to me, that is his role and one if nailed, will be a real weapon in the years to come.
  20. I hate to be the person who is overly confident, but we really should be tearing the eagles apart next week. They still have most of their forward line intact (Allen, Darling, Waterman), so they are still potent if the ball gets in there quick. Given we will be expected to win and by a long way, what is the pass mark? 4pts? 10 goals? 100 pts?
  21. He is a great 2nd year player, possibly the best u21 player the competition has ever seen, but there is still daylight between him and the top 20 players in the competition.
  22. This game win these circumstances would have been better in Rd 18-20 where the rest would have been really welcomed for some. If BBB is sore and needs a week, bring back TMac as he was decent today with 11 marks and 2 snags. If we persist with Petty up forward, Tommo is also a decent call up. Eagles are still tall up forward with Allen, Darling and Waterman. For Kozzy - hard call. One of ANB, Sparrow or JJ. In: Tmac, Tommo, Kozzy Out: BBB, Hibberd, Sparrow
  23. After 3 rounds we are the highest scoring team. Having played 3 of the better teams in the comp, how does this reflect on our game plan adjustment and forward line structure overall.
  24. I wonder if he’ll get midfield minutes when builds a tank in 2-3 years time.
  25. 100% agree. The 3rd tall is the Ruck pinch hitter. We also need to get some games into Turner, should be our 3rd tall of Petty plays up forward.
