Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
I can’t read the article but as the hyperlink includes the words Ralphy and Herald Sun I doubt I’m missing anything.

Media Madness
Not sure what’s worse. The rent-a-mouths in the media or the people that constantly lose their minds over what they say.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Yeah, I imagine it would be a great little place for a young family. The waterfront area looked great in the sunshine yesterday. I feel the same about the cats. I like the novelty aspect of them being the only team based in a country town (well, maybe the Adelaide sides too) but think they have a cråp song and colours.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
That's because everything served up at sporting venues is ultra processed garbage masquerading as food. The "bahn mi" was a long slice of microwaved pork in a hot dog roll with two chili slices and no Vietnamese fish sauce. Criminal.

Time to go Goody?
He's also walked the walk as a player obviously so has the street cred to back up his words. He's good mates with Max I think.

How many players have improved ?
This should be a very short thread.

PREGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Fullarton kicked five but he spilled an easy overhead mark on the outer wing that resulted in Geelong kicking the sealer to win the game. Like one or two others being suggested we'd only be promoting him to the seniors because the current incumbents are no good.

Not a Geordie construction worker to be seen TC. A couple of nice German lassies though.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
At the game last night it looked like Geelong were more committed to covering ground, spreading and providing options than us. As usual our midfield / forward connection was a hot mess. I don't want to think it but if Roo stays on this trajectory he's well on the way to being Weid 2.0 As my first night game down there it was a nice experience (outside the result). It's a nice stadium close to the centre of town and the natives were friendly. Nice weather. Had Hobart vibes. I somehow managed to buy our GA tickets for the wrong end of the ground but worked out that you can walk all the way around the Moorabool Street side to the other end. Their bahn mi rolls are rubbish though.

Geez. Can we prise this guy out of his media commitments and back to the club?

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Nah. It’s a good crowd Sesto. Probably better than the Sawyers Arms before the game but I might still end up there for lunch tomorrow before I head back up the highway.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
I’ve found a German bar in G-Town not far from the ground that serves dark beers so I’ll save my assessment of tonight’s loss for the clear light of day.

Melbourne Fans Mindset
I've already started going to games this year with no expectations and still hope we can turn things around enough to play finals but the last two weeks have been a truly awful watch and I've left early in both games.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Gold Coast
Agree TTD. Inside the four walls they may already know he's gone but I'd be looking to play him in the middle as much as possible because that's where our primary concern is right now and fixing this will help alleviate issues elsewhere. That will come at the expense of Spaz and Riv but that's their problem because neither have been good enough. I'd persist with Langford in the midfield mix as well based on yesterday.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Gold Coast
My laypersons view of what I saw yesterday is that our midfield has fallen off a cliff. This is by far our biggest problem. If we can't get first or even second use of the ball out of the centre we're not going to win any games this year. We really miss Knuckle, Leb & X (when he went off) for fast and accurate transition out of the backline and also helping close down the opposition's outlets when we're pressing but turn the ball over. Nibbler would be handy there too of course. Our lack of speed all around the ground was glaring. There's Koz too of course but we may only have him for another 20 games anyway based on what we've all read. The Bulldogs may not be the greatest team going around but their sheer will to get to a contest in the second half of their game this week as well as always creating an outlet for their teammates got them four points this week and we showed almost none of that desire. To a large extent we have the talent to turn things around relatively quickly so as bad as we've been so far I haven't given up on the season yet. The time when we're too embarrassed to wear our club colours in public again though may not be far away if we can't.

Don't know about you lot but I'm off to watch us rob the Bulldogs by 13 goals again.
