  1. I heard the same. Brad's role likely to be an interim position with Smudge taking over in the near future.
  2. Houston to the Saints? He must want to get back to Victoria REALLY badly.
  3. Perhaps the fact these issues are now out in the open and not festering away under the surface is actually a good thing. There's an opportunity for everyone to refocus and recommit to a common set of standards and goals much in the way we started 2021. Doesn't mean it'll happen of course.
  4. I’d like our trip to Hobart back please. Always a good weekend, especially with North still being rubbish.
  5. If that's me in N53 it must be a final as there's actually Melbourne supporters in some of the other seats.
  6. So you were the person sitting in N52 during the Giants game? It's a small world Moonie.
  7. I sit in N53 and get annoyed at all the opposition supporters that fill our area as well but if our own supporters bothered to turn up there’s be no empty seats for them to sit in.
  8. Just back from the cafe near work and Jordan Lewis and Anthony Hudson were in there at a table. Tried to eves-drop in case they might have been discussing the goings on at the Dees but too much surrounding noise.
  9. Assuming those are home attendances only they still aren't an accurate depiction, in my view. For example, there is no way that GWS and GC are getting any more than 5,000 of their own fans through the gates at their home games. Those numbers are being heavily padded by visiting supporters of the big Victorian clubs. Hawthorn's would likely be higher if they weren't playing four games at UTAS (capacity 19,000) and ours if we weren't playing one game at Traeger Park (capacity 7,000). I also think that in our games against the bigger Victorian sides the crowd is closer to 50/50, thus inflating our numbers a bit. Personally, I couldn't care less if the perception is that we're not a big club. For anyone that does though we can't honestly expect to change the narrative when we're drawing 17,000 to our home games.
  10. Hi Luci. Yeah, perhaps. I just get the feeling that it's caught everyone just enough off guard to be able push it over the line. For us, in our ability to get enough value back on the field for the immediate future and for the potential suitors to perform the list management and salary cap gymnastics required.
  11. Agreed daisy. Although I think it has more to do with his *cough* media content and brand manager. I'm sure both our club and his actual manager will be working behind the scenes over the next 12 months to get their own respective ducks in a row should we find ourselves back in this place next year. Brand Petracca won't be caught with it's pants down again and there's any number of ways he can claim that the marriage isn't working if he's intent on getting out of it and to appease him we've likely agreed to consider this as a possibility. I expect that the chatter about him and Koz will be a constant noise throughout 2025 and we'd want to have a very good year on field to keep it in the background.
  12. It was mentioned on here that in some years he is due to pocket as much as $1.7 mill. Perhaps one of them is 2025 and getting that out of the way together with his preferred destination clubs having twelve months to do some financial housekeeping is what we’re seeing play out here.
  13. One guy I used to work with had the equivalent membership at Collingwood with a GFG but he was paying around $400 more than me, from memory. A current long term Carlton member I know with the same membership has to enter a lottery for the GF if they make it, I'm guessing because they are *cough* big clubs with so many members.
  14. Max all the way. I love when that music starts and our man mountain emerges first from the smoke filled race to lead the side out. Hard as nails on the ground yet has all the subtleties required to represent the club off it. I'm dreading the day he hangs up the boots for good.
  15. He's on there now making a big club sandwich.
  16. I'm on a Tridents auto renewal with GFG and have no plans to change that. People I know with similar type memberships pay a lot more than I do and still have to enter a lottery for finals tickets.
  17. A carefully crafted media statement. I reckon Phil Davis got it right. He's on huge dollars and with comes a responsibility to help lead the club in difficult times. Let's see if he's up to it.
  18. The semantics of who did or didn't pick up a phone, how long ago they did or didn't do it and what they did, didn't or should've said on the call are starting to do my head in. I'm going back to work.
  19. I'll tell him No.31 says hi. I think he's opened another place near the top end of Smith St recently?
  20. And I've got Tamura Sake Bar next door covered demoniac.
  21. You might have to wade back through a few pages of this thread to find it but apparently it was reported that a few of our players had dinner at Marion Wine Bar in Gertrude St on Tuesday night and were overheard by people at the next table to them saying what's up with Trac acting weird.
  22. So after yesterday's scandal of footballers out to dinner overheard saying guy acting weird is acting weird I wonder what the fifth estate has in store for us all today?
