  1. Stimorol The smell of excitement as you opened the pack eagerly awaiting that elusive card
  2. They surveyed fans? And acted on the response?? ? Talk about burying the lead!
  3. Petracca deal and DL'ers can nitpick Journo spelling errors... Very happy days!
  4. Yep, didn't want to out him tho
  5. Tom Browne irritates me with his hyped up substance free reporting. I watched the story a few times. Browne hasn't added a shred of real information to what already existed on this forum days ago, which is excellent btw @goodwindees thanks heaps. The $$ figure and terms are in the written story saying "as much as" and "as long as" so just guessing what is a ball park number. The other info is easily stirred up or created, like other clubs interested and asking questions. Tom Morris reckons he's confirmed details - and added substantial info - suggesting he has a reliable source. Or perhaps he knows @goodwindees
  6. AFL is a shomozzle at the moment Umpiring a joke, MRP not much better, McCartin 5 weeks is soft also...
  7. Wow, I missed a bit today We grew some balls and appealed - times are a changin
  8. Just watched the 2nd half replay. This was evident. I thought Jonesey did a bit, so 1st half must have been eerily quiet. Also Spargo and ANB were clearly off I'd posited earlier in the week about being concerned about our ability to keep our run amd intensity - we were flat today. But we have a bit of depth, so hopefully can refresh well
  9. Missed 3/4 as I was on a plane, the last 1/4 was average but good to see we put the foot on their throat when we needed to One thing that struck me as strange, our % went down... Anyone know why? ?
  10. Missed most of the game (blessing it seems) Anyone got a time stamp on this incident - I'd like to see it
  11. Didn't expect Jones dropped
  12. Stuey Dew v The Pies... unfair really
  13. This suggests no "managed" players I'm loving a full strength 22 but hoping the legs are holding up
  14. Terrible free kick paid
  15. Not by me Go back and watch the highlights packages over last few years He's often involved in chains of possession where we move the ball forward freely, including the goal or immediate assist possession Those who have said his "tank" / "engine" aren't that valuable need to understand that without the tank, there's no one in the position to play that role when the ball swings forward and we simply see a rebound from the opposition His defensive effectiveness has improved, but qas regularly a strength I'm glad Spargo has lifted, I was a strong critic but his defensive effort has lifted significantly and his "tank" / "engine" has improved a-la ANB Those who criticised ANB on kicking accuracy were missing a lot of PA and KMs and not fully acknowledging the all round contribution
  16. Pies 1-5 Eat [censored]!
  17. Amazing how kicking straight can impact the Scoreboard
  18. Graeme Yeats' Mullet replied to one_demon's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
It's a ridiculous joke anyway at this time of year No-one books the Chalet for September until late May when we have an indication of how the snow's looking this season Any [censored] knows that!
  19. Neither could his team mates at either side
  20. Aside from the Brown/Weideman dilemma. We have some younger talent to consider getting game time into: Sparrow, Chandler, Lockhart, Bedford, Baker, Petty And some more experienced heads we can rely on: Jetta, Mitch Brown, AvB, Daw It feels extremely unusual to have this much depth At some stage, we'll need to "manage" a few legs and rotate a bit of this through the side
  21. Thanks Champion!
  22. Righto people Reattach your lids It's a long season, let's take this one week at a time
  23. Really liking how ANB, Hunt, Spargo have stepped up Spargo was better than his stats suggest - halving those two contests in F50 and allowing LJ to goal was excellent ANB, Hunt are cementing spots
