  1. Do you really think that yesterday’s game plan was any different to what we’ve been attempting all year? You really think that a coach sacking and 6 days between games is enough time to see a difference that can’t be credited to Goodwin and the coaching team under him? Yesterday’s performance has been there most of the year, just inconsistently as the players have been learning the new style an we’ve been blooding new players.
  2. Or, taking the pessimistic glasses off for just a tiny second, we were learning a new game plan and blooding new players and therefore the close losses and inconsistency was justified and to be expected. 2026 could have been a year of great progress, proving Goody right, but now we’ll never know.
  3. We WEREN’T that far off competing again. We had to blow that up during the week though didn’t we….
  4. Knocking Gus out was at least a 7 point swing. Collingwood lucky to hold on.
  5. A good win against a good opponent. Very happy with that performance. Saints forward line is dangerous and their midfield matches ours. Winning against them shows we can beat Collingwood, Brisbane and Port Adelaide in finals if we play like this or better.
  6. Bring back Melksham!
  7. If Port Adelaide lose to Collingwood (Collingwood currently 28-2 second term), will that provide some much needed perspective around here? You would think we were 1-9 and still being coached by Mark Neeld, the way some carry on. Adelaide played very well and we almost beat them despite being a little off. We are 9-1 having beaten Geelong, Richmond, Sydney and GWS. Life could be worse. Looking forward to the Bulldogs and Brisbane games. Go Dees.
