Last night I had the strangest dream. I dreamt we beat West Coast in the West And we were in the finals. No, wait, it’s true! Still hard to believe after 12 years. My brother came around after the game. We had a BIG brother-sister hug (about 3 minutes.) I swear he was crying and he’s not a cryer. Then we sat for an hour going over the match and how hard it’s been for so long. Haven’t seen him this happy since his son was born. This is what we deserved after over 40,000 fans signed up. Finally reaping the rewards

Only 3 teams beat West at home this year. Sydney, Dons and us. Even Tigers couldn’t do that

As long as we’d don’t end it the same way

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned, but how sweet to beat the team that denied us a place in the finals last year

I’m in the exact same situation. And I will. I would even if it was 45 degrees tonight

? yeah, somehow I’m already planning how to get finals tickets.

Had no kids then. Still don’t, doubt I ever will. Still vaguely remember 1987, but was still a youngish girl then. Nice to relive at least a taste of what that was like

I’ve just had a big sobfest. I’m still shaking. I still am having trouble believing it. Demons IN THE FINALS. No matter what happens, I’m proud of them. No more butt of everyone’s jokes. I don’t like to see all those “I’m done with this team” people’s faces right now. Especially that idiot that claimed on Facebook that after the loss last year, he was now a full paid member of Essendon.

We’ve been a bit fortunate so far. We’re doing far better than I thought. Still I think this can turn against us really quickly. Unrelated, I’m having s lot of trouble posting here. Takes forever to load and often crashes.

Yup. Should win next week. One more win after that and I think it’s safe to say, we’re in.

A friend of mine went today. All the way from Melbourne. Man, has he been texting a lot, he’s so thrilled he went. I can understand people’s frustration in our 4th quarter captulation, but just remember the important thing: we WON. If we’d lost again, like last week, I’d be in tears now. Clearly, we have some work to be done, but I think we should be happy we did hang on in the end. I CAN’T be unhappy with a win. I’m pretty sure we’ll win next week. If we can get another win after that, I think it’s a pretty safe bet they’ve can cancel our end of season trip in September.

Off to enjoy St Pats night with friends. Gonna get smashed. Be back tomorrow.
