I don’t know if it’s been mentioned, but how sweet to beat the team that denied us a place in the finals last year

I’ve just had a big sobfest. I’m still shaking. I still am having trouble believing it. Demons IN THE FINALS. No matter what happens, I’m proud of them. No more butt of everyone’s jokes. I don’t like to see all those “I’m done with this team” people’s faces right now. Especially that idiot that claimed on Facebook that after the loss last year, he was now a full paid member of Essendon.

We’ve been a bit fortunate so far. We’re doing far better than I thought. Still I think this can turn against us really quickly. Unrelated, I’m having s lot of trouble posting here. Takes forever to load and often crashes.

Yup. Should win next week. One more win after that and I think it’s safe to say, we’re in.

A friend of mine went today. All the way from Melbourne. Man, has he been texting a lot, he’s so thrilled he went. I can understand people’s frustration in our 4th quarter captulation, but just remember the important thing: we WON. If we’d lost again, like last week, I’d be in tears now. Clearly, we have some work to be done, but I think we should be happy we did hang on in the end. I CAN’T be unhappy with a win. I’m pretty sure we’ll win next week. If we can get another win after that, I think it’s a pretty safe bet they’ve can cancel our end of season trip in September.

Yep. Right in front of my dad. He wanted to do something, but at his age, there’s not much he can. I told him it’s ok. Personally, if we got unfair frees and won the game by two points, I’d be ashamed of the win.

I just came home from that embarassement. No doubt bad umpiring cost us that game. At least three goals were incorrect free kicks. However, we played dreadful. Poor kicking, tackling, couldn’t keep it on our half. Only real shining light was Gawn, who played his heart out. Never stopped trying. Great game son. St Kilda fans were as feral as usual. Was called a “dumb b**ch” because I suggested umps were favouring the saints.

Why do we never try for a long goal. It’s too predictable

Already awake as I’m so excited. Can’t wait for this payback.
