Physicality, hard at it, no recruiting superannuants from other clubs, Vince, Lewis, build your own culture, heat is on Gawn, Watts and Garlett, players who would not be suited to the rough and tumble of the occasion in my opinion.

    Thats why we have critics.

Of course there is, it's called negotiating. Trade week hasn't even started.

It started when you heard that he was coming to the Dees. The Crows knowing of course initiated some talk with Melbourne weeks ago.Now they are at a stand off.

Do you think that they will wait for the starting line????????? Der.........

    Why sign brain  freeze.

The guy missed a year with a bad back and we paid him

He had the year from hell this year and we have supported and paid him.

He apparently loves the club and the players.

He just signed a new contract last year and has two years to go.

Why would he meet Freo when he is contracted and a required player?

    I don't believe it.

Players sign contracts and then for some strange reason they want to leave. Gibbs the same at Carlton.

It was said at the time of the 2014 AFL National Draft that Melbourne was heavily into getting Lever who would have been rated even more highly but was coming back from an ACL injury. The word was that the club offered up Jack Trengove for a trade with Richmond just so that we could get in a position draft Lever (as it turned out the Tigers' pick would have been insufficient).

It would be nice to get him to the club but can we do it?

I hope but....... going- ons don't look good at the minute between us and the crows. there is a stand off.

This is Goodwin not acknowledging a 3- year contract. Goodwin failed to make the finals. Who is to blame?? Jack Watts ??

Really divisive decision to the footy club. No basis. No discipline issues. Can Goodwin get the best from Watts. No he chooses to tell him to ‘explore options to GO ELSEWHERE ‘. That means I don’t want you.

OK I HEAR YOU. However listen to        Dee tales podcast with Paul Roos.  Talks about his coaching at Melbourne.

  7. 5 minutes ago, Die Hard Demon said:

Don’t be surprised if Paul Roos is secretly attempting to increase the value of Watts by making those statements. Roosy of all people knows the club is bigger than any one individual & he loves the dees. He will want us coming out on top from this trade. & this is a really sneaky way to help our cause.

Of course  you might be right no arguing there. maybe you can read between the lines however there is no harm in listening to it .

    OK

now Pederson is good but will he be a regular in Goodwins team if he has a lean period or plays just fair? Garlett played just fair when he had to be better in some of his games even though he had some personal issues.Tyson can lift and he has too and Hogan lets hope that  his head is clear.

You picked the 15 that you think in your opinion are better than JW l am sure he would then fit in your 22 .  I don't think that you are a critic of JW but if he leaves, I wonder if you would be happy when he does play well for someone else? Howerver he had a very good season or 2 under Roos, he didn't drop him when he had a lean period JW asked to be dropped and only for that one match and came back better. ROOS didn't degrade him like NEELD and GOODWIN had done.

    HI

type dee tales podcast  and listen to ROOS and what he says about Jack Watts. It would be a big mistake to let him go, and more.

    l hope you do.

Watts dropped himself in May 2015.

Roos dropped him a few months later, for the final match of the season.

    Thanking you for your input.

Dear sir he was rested, check his stats  the week before..... the media made a deal of that issue and that is what he cops unfortunately.

but look if you want to prove me wrong thats ok l can take it..........they played some young kids to give them a taste .

However if your looking to prove me wrong l will sleep ok tonight.

Out of curiosity Bobby, while will things backfire?  Jack is one player.  It's not as if someone like Clayton Oliver has been put up for trade.  Watts has talent but he rarely affects the outcome of a game.  So why would things backfire?  Makes little sense to me.

YOUR NOT A VERY WISE MAN . YOU ARE VERY NEGATIVE. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN NICE TO YOURSELF?

Its an interesting comparison to Hibberd.   Lever currently isnt quite as good imho...not right atm.. He might become better but then we dont know what Pig's ceiling is either.

As a 'hypothetical" is Hogan was traded it would  definitely be for 2 first rounders  or equivalent at least. Lever isnt worth a Hogan so by that comparison Crows demand of 2 x1sts is just quietly between anyone and me.......a crock of shlt !!

    Big time agree

We need some outside class and pace and Motlop provides that.

It sounds like he has had osteitis pubis which has held him back this year, but then having a couple of weeks off have done him wonders. His last two finals were excellent.

I would chase him pretty hard.

    After two games?

Apparently Jarman Impey was dancing with Melbourne players in the footy show revue, which obviously means nothing much, but he is on the trade table according to rumours and matches our need for pace and could release Hunt or Hibberd to play higher

Who knows but l here he could be on the way out.

Perhaps the FD can work out a compromise to appease the supporters?

My suggestion: Trade Watts to a Victorian based club and then hire him as a part-time goal kicking coach. Win-Win. :pj:

To straighten out Hogans stride  and kicking style from 50 metres and beyond.

Go find the papers?  Yeah, I'll just pull those out of my back pocket.

You can keep spinning it, but it always lands the same.  He's been dropped by Bailey, Neeld, Roos and Goodwin.  That speaks volumes for his consistency, even after 157 games.

Geez, I hate to go in the trenches with you Benedict Arnold.

What have the last 2 premiership sides have in common, they werent scared to let players go.  Deledio last year similar to Watts well liked and teased the supporters with glimpses of their talents

    Did he tease you?
