  1. And doesn't that surprise us? That's why I listen to the radio with the TV turned down.
  2. Covering up the track marks?
  3. What about the rest of him?
  4. FFS Can we please fix the spelling of Kent's name!
  5. Should be about 16 - 3 in our favour from what I've seen! Great start to 2nd half TMac
  6. TMac developing a habit of kicking goals after the siren.
  7. Not saying much given how poor his 1st qtr was.
  8. TMac slung over the boundary line without touching the ball .... Nothin from the effin umps!
  9. His right foot nearly as good as his commitment to tackling and pressure acts!
  10. Kicked in the back of his knee as he tried to run across and smother
  11. Bourke on the ABC radio coverage just as biased as Channel 7
  12. Ha! Like we'd get anything for him.
  13. Don't know which Kent you're talking about but that's extremely typical of this one. Exactly why I didn't want him picked!
  14. No 7 coverage in ACT thanks to local channel broadcasting their 2 games yesterday (GWS/Hawks and Syd/GC). Waiting for coverage to start on Fox Footy Play + (won't start until 1st bounce). (Side note: as a result of the NSW teams coverage 2 out of 3 of the FTA games here this week have been retransmission of Foxtel broadcasts and only once have we had to put up with Channel 7's useless common taters)
  15. Can't be right because the roof at Etihad is closed. There's no way the AFL would pass up the opportunity to blind the 3,000 or so people who turned up to watch the kangapoos or to wreck the contrast settings on the TVs of the 12 of us watching it on Fox before turning over to the real game!
  16. As much as I'm not keen on Kent I hope you're right about this. In fact I'd be happy if only your tackle forecast was right and he only had 15 possessions and 2 goals.
  17. Not how I would look at it. GWS are hopeless at putting pressure on the counter attack from their forward 50. We are one of the best at that so Carlton shouldn't find it anywhere near as easy as they did against the Giants. Go Dees.
  18. Adam Treloar on AFL Today (Fox Sports) just now stating that "the sky's the limit for us (Collingwood)". Good to see reality is still a complete stranger to this guy!
  19. If the accidental graphic that has since been removed is correct - I'm not happy with Kent as an in ahead of JKH. With both Viney and Tyson out we need more from our rotating midfielders and I think JKH offers a lot more to the mix than Kent. I know some on here don't appreciate Tyson's work but Tyson is important in our midfield mix as both a possession player (even though some of his quick kicks out of packs are inefficient, so are many other players in the same situation) and also as a decent pressure player (a consistent mid-count tackler and good at applying smother pressure in packs). JKH may have had his chances as far as some on DL are concerned but to date he's been played out of position as a forward whereas his best work in the VFL has been as a midfielder. For well over a month he has been extremely good at getting the ball at the coalface and providing pressure to opposition mids, so to not be open minded enough to consider him now would be crazy (IMO). (Imagine how many players would never have made it if we based decision solely on their first few games out of position as a young player and never gave them a chance after improving in the reserves - which is what it is there for?) The coaches seem to have been happy with Trenners off the HBF of late (rotating through midfield occasionally), so he could do this and be another midfield rotation option and add some leadership to the squad with Viney out. I would have liked Joel Smith to have another week or 2 in the VFL just to prove his form before we brought him back in. But I think he can come in for Wagner. As for Kent I think he has been inconsistent at VFL level so I don't think he is ready to come back in to AFL level and have a consistent impact both on the scoreboard and particularly with regards to his forward pressure My preferred changes would be: In: Hogan (of course), Garlett (automatic), JKH, Smith, Trengove Out: Viney, Tyson, Bugg, White, Wagner This would mean: I/C: Stretch, Trengove, JKH, Smith (Emerg: Weideman, Kent and Wagner).
  20. Out of all of the non-Victorian teams, GWS should be most at home on the MCG given that Spotless is the closest in dimensions to the G. Rules actually gave minimum and maximum dimensions that grounds had to fit within (don't know if that is still the case). The redevelopment of Adelaide Oval to accommodate AFL was a bit disappointing for cricket in terms of the uniqueness of the old layout, but I think it is absolutely fantastic for footy and obviously fans love attending sport there.
  21. Seeing Roos Views on the MFC site today, it was like Burgers had been reading this site for ideas on who to interview next for MelbourneTV. It was great to watch. Such a great guy who left a great legacy. And yet it might well be that Roos involvement with selecting Goody might be his greatest legacy of all. Wonder if he's on the Fox Footy panel pre and post game on Friday night.
  22. Apparently only happens in movies (and WWE of course)!
  23. Based on tonight's tribunal results they are screaming out for clubs to appeal so they can sit and be paid and will happily overturn the long standing interpretations of the MRP.
  24. Tribunal Farce continues: Schofield found not guilty!!!
