  1. St Kilda by 10. As usual, we will be goals down at quarter time, then playing catch up for the rest of the game. Too many players either not up to it or out of form, or both. Sadly, Essendon, GWS, Fremantle have gone ahead of us. Sydney, Carlton, Collingwood, Brisbane were ahead of us anyway, and Port Adelaide too due to their massive home ground advantage. Like Geelong, I think our window has closed. Our midfield stinks at the moment, without Lever and reliant on TMac and Tomlinson our backline is shaky at best. Petty is non invested, JVR needs to kick goals, it is what he is in the team for. Thank god for Bayley, will probably end up with 50 plus for the year. Oliver not fit, Viney getting to that stage where the decline starts, Tracc can’t be everywhere. Windsor a positive, probably needs to consider his options come 2026. Would be an absolute gun in a top team. McVee is class. Not much else really.

Because we were ot good enough for a half of footy. Our midfield is wildly out of form.

Well they had better find form very quickly, otherwise we are just making up the numbers. The truth is, Carlton are not that good, as evidenced by tonight. But right at the moment they have our number. And it annoys the f..k out of me

Fritta has Stephen Hawkins type Footy IQ. Bloke is as clever as I’ve seen since Aaron Davey, except his height and marking give him a few more strings to his bow.

This. It wasnt just the kick, watch the whole passage of play. The way he worked his way to get possession, the subtle nudge just enough the put Henry out of the contest, then basically in one motion after getting the ball and putting it on his boot at just the right angle and force of contact with his boot. Pure genius.

  4. Too many passengers, other posters have named them. Worst half of football I can remember. Pathetic. Maybe we should consider moving our home games to the Adelaide Oval. This supposed home ground of ours holds absolutely no fear for anyone. Glad I got sick and couldnt go.

he was excellent. Dirty Chol tried to kick him in the head like the May push kick, and he competed well. He gave Max and excellent chop out today.

Chol is a Mason Cox. Leads with the knee. About time he was called out for it.

  6. It’s about time the AFL made a statement here, if they are serious about banning head high hits. FFS, it has already ended the career of Gus in the most recent history. Webster should be banned for the year. Draw a line in the sand AFL.

  7. We would need a hell of a lot to go right. Already a gun down in the midfield, who can step up? Petty will be missing for the first few, we cant rely on BBB to fill that void, nor TMac who has been training with the defenders anyway. Max and May nearing the twilight. So I suppose my answer is no.

Brockman was traded for a packet of peanuts because that’s all he’s worth. Like throwing McAdams in a trade for Petty.

There is nothing stopping us from trading 6, 11 and our future first for pick 1. West Coast need to start filling their list now. Two top 11 picks could be better for them than one plus a future first. Especially if they can get Curtin at 6 who is their main target by all reports.

Yeah maybe, and I hope you are right! Reid is an exceptional young player. But I just think North hold the cards with 5 picks in the first 18.

Where does the other pick inside the top 6 comes from?

    North won’t trade 2 and 3

Dunno. But if they knocked back 4, future first and Brockman, they ain’t talkin to us! Besides, Lamb has already said he is happy to take 6 and 11 to the draft. We are not getting Reid, fanciful to think we are.

Because Reid is a far superior player, even if he is a flight risk.

The question is, do West Coast prefer 2 top 11 picks, one of which could certainly be Curtin who are they are after, or do they prefer to take the risk on Reid with pick 1.

Sounds to me that they are after 2 picks inside the top 6, one of which would be 2 or 3, so they can almost guarantee getting Curtin and another top 6 pick. In which case, North are the only ones who have the cards. I dont thin 6 and 11 will cut it, especially given they already rejected hawthorns 4 with candy

Go have a look at squiggle.com.au and compare collingwood to previous flag winners. Theyre an anomaly. But they prove that the ONLY stat that matters is the one on the scoreboard at the end of the game. They could well get better next year 🤮

No they won’t. Because they will fall into the same trap that premiers before them have, thinking that they already have the list to win multiple flags. And they don’t.
