Vince can stay another year, just needs to be prepared to play some VFL when out of form or when someone younger can take his place. Becomes more of a depth player and can educate at Casey

I hear Optimism won't be around next season

Lets not foget the head of sports science. Mr Misson-in-action. Pls answer why all players that came back from injury either got reinjured or underperformed to the point where some got dropped? What exactly is wrong with Viney's foot and are we to believe it was a sheer co-incidence that his injury was on the same foot. Why the secrecy? Why did Salem get hit by a brick in preseason?

He's running late, got caught in traffic

Nathan Jones has been contracted by Swisse to endorse their revolutionary new suppliment. Side effects can include: abnormal heart rate, nausea, vomiting, and constant-patients
-
Yes, technically true, but he stepped over the line on what you should and shouldn't say. Potato potato!

The Demonshop are selling discounted ladders for the DIY in all of us. To stop us and the players from climbing to dizzy heights we have taken the precaution of removing the top rungs for you.

Look I think they will learn their lesson but PJ with his experience should have been all over it but instead he contributed to it. As I said, one of his few failings but very surprised it happened at all. We will need to be stronger than any previous admin, coaching and player group to achieve the ultimate given the ingrained mediocrity and repeat behaviours of our club over the years gone by
-
He did but he still went way too far with other comments. You never talk anything up as an administrator until its a done deal. At least Goodwin always had the sense to never say we have achieved anything until round 23 was completed. Others in the club seem to have got ahead of themselves going by some of the comms that came out
-
Nothing wrong with what was said. It would have been done to try and get a psychological edge on the opponent. I'm sure St Kilda were talking it up also at different stages. Happens very game for every side. Makes for interesting reading but that's it

Jackson spoke on the radio as if the club had already made the finals. Terrible content and timing. One of his few failings as a MFC administrator.

Thought this was going to be a call for players to cancel any mad Monday celebrations for [censored] sake!

The only time I've found some relief from Saturday's performance is when reading some of the comedic gold of our posters. Inviting some of our witty (and not so witty) posters to add to my small contribution below (if they feel you can!): What's the difference between Melbourne's season defining games and a coin toss? You at least have a 50:50 chance of winning a coin toss! What's the difference between Dom Tyson and a garden hose? Under Pressure the hose has faster supply! How many players does it take to change the MCG light blubs? Are you kidding, they've never been that high up a ladder!

No, its more white hot anger. I think Jones said supporters are livid in his orchestrated presser controlled nicely by the MFC. It was probably the only thing he said that resonated with me out of all the motherhood statements he made. The equation below should give you some indication about why this game and the back end of this season have upset so many: 'Livid' index = Odds of winning (high) x Reward for winning (high) x Lack of Intensity (high)

i think I'm in the 3 year old bracket you talk about. Don't want vanilla statements using MFC media. Simon, Peter, and Misson-in-games needed to have fronted together and called out some clear areas where they have failed and leave the detail for a review later (which we know won't see the light of day). Some early calls by the playing group about coming back early to training, missing mad monday blah blah blah

Follow twitter for those interested or wait for the vid

Your wording suggest you are not one of US i.e. a plain old supporter. Not sure what your post has to do with whether or not a statement is needed
-
What about the rest of them!!!!! Coaches and sport science failed us in the back half also. He better not be stepping down from captaincy. Is one of the few that tries
-
Agree. I'm dreading seeing them on the news dressed in costume having a [censored] up
-
Good intent but I actually thought the title of this thread was somewhat sarcastic. I'm still grieving and not interested in thanking anyone despite some good performance which you have outlined
-
Feel like the supporters and members are owed an apology of some sort from the club's leaders. Players, coach and lets not forget our 'high' performance sport science team. Won't make me feel better but seems like we are owed something. I will likely renew my membership before Xmas again for the 26th year in a row but it won't an automatic decision and not with the same enjoyment and optimism. Is it just me?

People that are suggesting that most of the players are hurting to a significant degree are dreaming. Given they fear expectation its a relief to have missed for them. It can only hurt players (to the point that it drives them) if they gave their all and just fell short. Not the case. They essentially froze when it counted. We should naturally improve as you would expect of a young and talented list but any talk that this was a learning year which will drive us is bulldust. Just an absolutely shitful below expectation end to the year with no learnings just more scares for players

If the players have a mad monday l will spew
