  1. I don't want to name and shame as you said it's up to them how they spend their nights. I was just a bit surprised to have seen a few out and about after a match
  2. New bone to pick. Thoughts on players being spotted on for a night on the town after a putrid performance and loss? And also for some of them a decent plan trip home......? i think majority of the playing group are kidding themselves at the moment
  3. I like this post a lot! After reflecting on the game I don't think Tyson let himself down with his performance yesterday, I think the match committee let him down by selecting him when he was clearly still struggling with illness and also didn't train at all Tuesday at the club. I hope they haven't destroyed him for next week by taking him up and that he can recover and get up to play against the Hawks. When he is on, he can be a beautiful player and important in getting it out of traffic making our good guys look better. Hope Viney doesn't get rubbed out because I'm not sure how that helps us in the middle although besides the tag he looked to struggle too. Lets be honest, effectively the entire team forgot to get on the plane Thursday night at Melbourne Airport. Hearing positives about weideman and even hulett (spelling?) so can't wait to see them have a crack. Unsure as to why we didn't make a late change if indeed there was an injury in warm up? Yes the coaching group and MC are to blame, but we have to look at the players and the finger ends up being pointed. They're kidding themselves half of them I think. We have a good win one week and it seems that next week we can't produce the goods, perhaps going in too overconfident in the minds of the younger brigade. Hopefully we don't have to watch too much of that car crash from yesterday again, otherwise the end of the season seems very far
  4. Had a genuine giggle at Milkshake. Haven't heard that one before! Props for lightening up my mood after today's viewing!
  5. Thanks you!! Glad to be on board! and must say I did feel better after getting out my suggested changes too haha!! It's also nice reading other people's thoughts and realising maybe you're not heing too harsh as you too have had the same thoughts! Im looking forward to when we see Weideman out there I think he may be a gem! And some serious goal practice for jesse and a few of the mids at training this week pls!
  6. I understand where you're coming from! I am a new member on here as of tonight and that was my first post so I guess I worded it incorrectly. What I more meant was I can see where that member was coming from, but was also wanting to let out a few of my opinions of where the team is at as well. I can see how it does look contradicting to others so apologies for that! I am definitely not here to cause any rifts between members so no hard feelings at all. Certainly was not having a go at yourself at all!
  7. What would you like us to explain? I assume you meant my bit on agreeing about not posting post 24 hours. Sometimes I just feel after a win we are all so positive and then the minute we have a loss or player has an off day we rip in to them and some people make comments that in another 24 hours they may reflect on when the initial anger of a loss has lowered a bit and realise perhaps they were a bit quick to jump. I love how passionate we all are and we want to see th club do well. I just look at how far we have come over the last few years and our list is getting to a great stage! Maybe not so much people shouldn't post straight after as this is a supportive forum we can all let our feelings out on, maybe sometimes just reflect on all the negatives before we post them. And on on the second bit you honestly don't think that Harmes and a few others may be starting to fatigue a bit? I think he has great potential along with other youngsters but may need to be managed a little bit at the moment. To me his poor decisions don't seem like bad decision making all the time, sometimes they strike me as a player who may be slightly mentally and physically fatigued. But only he would really know if he is or not
  8. Curious on your reasons for Tyson going out over a few others who have had some poor weeks? Also I know I'll get crucified for saying this as I too want him back, but is Hawthorn the best opposition to bring trenners in against? AFL will already be another step up in intensity and speed from VFL, so just wondering if opposition such as Hawthorn will be ideal? Just given what he's coming off. If he does play and doesn't have a major impact there better be no one on here calling for his head as well!
  9. Agreed!! As soon as we lose everyone is too quick to jump on the bandwagon of who should be dropped. People are saying Dunn needs to come in just because of experience? If they can't see him playing a role in helping the team to a win he shouldn't come in. People saying Tyson should go out. At least he has some experience as well if we are wanting to go with experience over Hawthorn. Yes, he was terrible today but also not the only one who was. He is capable of a much better game and shouldn't be dropped off today's game. He missed last week with illness, do we actually know what the illness was yet? Didn't train Tuesday as far as I saw and then travelled up to Alice possibly a bit flat coming off illness. I doubt he will still be sick next weekend he has a weeks break before we play again and we play at home, so I'd be concerned if they played him this week but pulled him next week due to illness again. ANB also not great today but I think deserves another chance off the back of last week and VFL form. It's not a handful of players that are to blame for today, it's the team as a whole it really looked like all of them were missing in action today. Also so agree on Harmes, Wagner etc. I think they look tired and the club needs to determine how they will manage our younger guys coming in to the bye. Petracca is going to be a gun. He's played a handful of games and is still finding his feet. He's missed a lot of footy. People saying Mccartin a better option, for us to be honest I don't think he is. The saints needed that and we didn't. I too believe petracca will be the better player. We also took some key forwards in last years draft, and of we are patient with him and he is given time to develop I think Weideman has the potential to be a much better player than Mccartin so I think we may have won that one. Will be be interested to see what happens at match selection this week when the time comes!
