  1. Second year forward making demands? Good one.
  2. How gracious of you.
  3. Correct on both fronts. Just goes to show how easy it is for rumours that are backed up by nothing can gain some traction. Edit - sorry, Gaff is out of contract at the end of the season, but has indicated his willingness to sign a new, multi year deal this year. He last signed towards the end of 2014.
  4. Why didn't he ask to be traded at the end of 2015, then? What changed that was so catastrophic that he now wants to be home in Perth so badly? Do the math dazzle - it doesn't add up.
  5. What doesn't add up, to me, is what has changed in a few months. He happily signed on at the end of 2014 and, if he really wanted out, he could have gone to the club and demanded a trade. Nothing happened. He completed an excellent pre-season and is just starting to get back into form, giving no indication that he wants to be back in Perth at all costs. Langdon has hit the mark before, but he's also been waaaaay off as well. He is a Perth native who, of course, would want to see someone like Jesse come home. I just can't take him all that seriously.
  6. Oh look, another Hogan thread. We don't have enough of these.
  7. I think this can be an easy thing to overlook too, something I did earlier in the season. These guys who are re-signing are in the last year of their deals, and we all know Hogan isn't in the same position.
  8. Exactly. The best thing to do is to put these sort of articles to the side. One day you'll have someone saying that have a 'source' that tells them he is going home, the next day someone else is piping up saying he loves it in Victoria and is a dead cert to re-sign. The cycle will just continue over and over again.
  9. No wonder he is struggling on field. Just look at the scrutiny the poor bloke cops. He still has 44 more games to play before his contract is up and he's already copping it. We've got short memories too. Everyone, even Jesse himself, have said that he loves it in Melbourne and has no real interest in going home. Yet we believe journo's instead. I know the Scully fiasco has tainted our thinking here, but we need to get behind the big fella and trust in the club to get things done. We'll be right.
  10. Alright mate, I retract that statement if it hurts you so much. As I said above I'm merely going by the fact that you often take a rather negative view of the football club, and to see you do the same here came as little surprise.
  11. It wasn't that at all. It was more of an opinion based on your posting history, in that you like to take a rather negative stance towards most things. If you already believe he is gone then I can do nothing more than feel sorry for you. If you've already taken that stance then it will be a taint over the next 2 years for you. I'd hate to have to support like that. By the way - not too upset if he goes? A once in a lifetime forward leaves and you'll barely shrug your shoulders? I'm glad most don't support the club with such low levels of passion as you do.
  12. Nothing's impossible. Don't make me use the word 'thick' again so you can cry to the mods. I've got 100% confidence in him, and the club, to get it done at the end of the year. If you can't comprehend that, well, that's your problem.
  13. I can be, and I am. Cheers.
  14. Fair point, but I also have no doubt that the club would have put a very, very good contract on the table for him. For the record I 100% believe he will sign on the dotted line come season's end.
  15. The problem with that argument is that there have been several players who have signed long term deals with their clubs, and players who would draw considerable interest on the open market as well. Are you suggesting each manager told them not to do it?
  16. I saw Jesse out and about today. He bought a latte instead of a cappuccino. Just another clear sign he's gone.
  17. It comes as no surprise that, when I saw you had replied in this thread, that this was the exact opinion you would take Munga. Keep on trolling, son.
  18. Langdon is a nut. I wouldn't put any credence in the drivel that spews forth from his mouth.
  19. Just announced on the MFC website that Clayton WILL make his debut this week! Well done son!
  20. He's on the Footy Show. He's gone.
  21. Hogan putting off contract talks is a pessimistic supporters wet dream. Just chill. Plenty of water to go under the bridge yet.
  22. I love how your first sentence is simply you being pedantic about grammar, and then you need to edit your own work for a mistake. Classic.
  23. I thought he looked good, although I'm not getting as excited as others by this performance. He isn't a lock for Round 1 at all as I believe once Jones, Vince and a fit Brayshaw return he may be squeezed out. Kennedy and Bugg showed that they will be handy additions as well so I believe Oliver may have to wait for his chance, although that's not a bad thing. Liked his composure though and he showed signs that he will be a very handy player for us sooner rather than later.
  24. Strap yourself in then mate, as this thread will get a whole lot worse as the season progresses.
  25. I can see him doing that in the last game of 2017 - he strolls into the forward line, looking to help out Weideman and a resting Max Gawn, to the cheers from the Demon faithful... before he low blows Gawn, hits a leg drop on a stunned Weideman and embraces a laughing Hayden Ballantyne and a giggling Nat Fyfe.
