What’s the trick to get the AFL stream of this match? I keep pressing the watch live button on the VFL game Casey v Geelong page but nothing happens.
Do use the App go to AFL on line is the only way it works for me

I know it’s been tried before but not for long
Play him at CHB for a heap of games at Casey
What have we got to lose
It is starting to look like he will never make it as a forward
And he may gain some confidence

Talking about Essendon not about Ruckmen
Although I really respect Ryder
I often think that club has a Sheedy Curse just as big if not bigger than the Curse of Norm Smith
Sheedy stayed much too long and his win at all cost attitude poisoned the Club
Which resulted in the need to try to cheat to achieve success

Bowey is over-the-odds but the problem with him winning is the criteria used for this award. OK, you have to be nominated as a weekly winner during the season which he has been already (and you can't be nominated more than once so that means there will be a pool of 23). I don't know the process employed each week but I'm sure that the whole panel doesn't watch every game played for that week. Regardless, it's just a panel of 'experts' that choose on a 5, 4, 3 , 2, 1 basis for the whole season. It's not done on a cumulative basis each week so it will be hugely influenced by media coverage, rather than an objective appraisal of the rising star across 22 games. If it was like the Brownlow you would assume Ginnivan has taken a lot of votes off Daicos already this season, giving a lot more chance to Horne-Francis for instance, but it won't work like that. Following is a list of the experts used last year. Do former players really have any special expertise?
https://www.afl.com.au/news/670647/action-jackson-young-demon-crowned-rising-star/Yep I’ve got a whole 4 bucks on him at 15/1
Not holding my breath but believe he deserves it

Skilton was pretty good
Didnt have much to work with
Think the players loved him
Ditterich gave his all
Crashed and bashed and
led from the front
Northey was my favourite
Loved his passion
I was Lucky to start going to games in 62
So Smithy obviously the best
Beckwith a gentleman and Great of the club

Always feel more confident with McDonald in the side
I know he has had better seasons but it’s his straight shooting on goal and experience that I like

I had trouble umpiring primary school games while working for the AFL in Southern NSW because of of all the special rules for kids
What must it be like for a young person trying to get involved with umpiring with all the different rules at various levels
Country umpires must hate the new rules continuing to be pushed on them that are so far removed from the game they grew up with

Lewis was a good signing but in my opinion Daniel Cross was better and was probably released a year earlier than he should be. But Jordy was a successful, premiership player who gave us a bit of cred.
Loved having Cross at Melbourne
I remember him being really tiny playing Rep under 14 Basketball for Albury
When I was coaching Wodonga
He was undersized but skillful

I’ll get bagged for this but I’ll say it anyway
Hated seeing him in a Melbourne Jumper
-
Oscar doing what Oscar does
No composure as a backman
Should be tried as a fwd back up ruck but won’t happen
-
Do remember one preseason no Melbourne or Nth jumpers were available to buy
As manufacturers were aware of a possible merger between the two clubs
No idea what year it was

Hey, people.
I love reading on this site but rarely post anymore.
I was 13 and I was there. I was too busy bawling my eyes out when Hassa missed that shot at goal that I missed Compton's intervention. Who was Compton's opponent who drew him to the contest? I say it was one of the resting rovers. In those days, they always rested in the forward pocket. I say it was Bone, but I have a mate who insists it was Norman. 😂
Bone I played a bit of footy with his Sons in Wodonga

Any comments on D Turner’s game today? He looked good in his first VFL game a while back.
Thought he looked good seems to be very mature and makes few mistakes

Played against a lot of ex VFL players in my Bush Career
But the one who worried me the most was the thought of Greg Parke using my back as a step ladder as I filled the gap at CHB as all good ruckman do
Greg was one of my hero’s growing up
So as you do I tried to shirtfront at him first opportunity
Result Free and Goal to Parky

I was in Vicpol for 12 years, he was hated by everyone, and universally described as a thug who would whack a bloke in cuffs, and other gutless stuff. Was a shame the toe cutters never managed to charge him. Lucky for him his era was pre camera phone.
He wasn’t popular at all with the blokes he did National Service with either
He was Lucky that Richmond stopped him going to Vietnam

The Oval at Rye has always been known as the MCG of the bush
But as it’s a working class Football club how upset would the silvertails at Sorrento be
