The game is becoming more and more about speed and transition. A shame to see him go. Another downside of not giving young players enough opportunities?

Why word you? It's there to be rorted.

BT mentioned it would be the first Smith to win the Norm Smith. Fun fact. Oh and the only player out there with long socks just kicked a goal.

Yup, goal. Imagine playing a sub. Crazy

Alright, 13 mins left. Murder them Geelong. Beat them by 100 and make them never want to play footy again. Swans just pathetic.

Oh of course. BT just said that the crowd got whipped into a frenzy by Robbie Williams and Geelong got into the spirit of that. God I love Daisy.

We've just lost internet. How am I going to watch a rerun of Mash instead of this?

Bledisloe and Rabbitohs playing tonight. Thoroughly recommend Train to Busan on SBS. Just an awesome zombie movie. I feel like I'm watching one now and the Zombies are winning!

Might get a Normie yet. He was dead slow last year. He and Selwood are flying. Gotta wonder about fitness and player management.

Nice elbow in the face by Hawkins and still gets the free.

It's the only thing keeping the tv on. Sydney just need to start laying tackles let alone keep possession

He's very Joe Daniher today. Body language and second efforts just rubbish. He's cooked.

After loads of rain it is an absolutely stunning day here in the northern Rivers. I never thought winning a flag would lead to feeling so hollow today. Thoughts with everyone today. I hope this burns our club to come back harder next year. Gardening, beach then coffin bay oysters, prawns, champagne and beers.....and some OxyContin if the cats get up. See you all at the big dance next year. Go Dees.

I'm already upset with 9.38% of you. And deeeepressed we're not there. Maybe Robbie Williams will cheer me up...pffft

It's always been a golden rule of footy to play injured players in finals at your peril. Got away with it with one player last year. 11 might be pushing it a bit.

Pickett was limping in the final home and away against the lions. Knee strapped. Didn't seem to have the pace or run the miles late in the season. That makes nine
  17. Just finished watching the SANFL Grand Final on 7plus. It's worth a watch. Great to see the Redlegs get up by the smallest of margins in a big armwrestle. Pretty well umpired and they put the whistle away most of the time. Really Really happy to see Jade Rawlings come in as coach and win a flag for the Redlegs. I always rated him at his time at Melbourne and Casey. I thought he always did a great job with our defence and it showed again with Norwood. It's worth watching just to see the elation on Jade's face at the end of the game. Seems like a lovely bloke.
  18. I thought The Weed has done really well over the past 6 weeks in the ruck. Full credit to him for really persevering. The only thing I think that's holding him back is his marking. He's still not clunking those marks like Mitch Brown and JVR usually do. If he can get his overhead marking sorted, I reckon he's still in the mix on our list.
  19. Thanks to all the regular posters that have kept us informed about Casey throughout the year. It's been great watching them play all year and it's also cool that the games were there to stream. One player not mentioned too much and he had a pretty quiet day is Corey Ellison. He had a pretty strong season and I reckon could develop into a good defender over the next two years.

Good, the whole team should feel that way. We're in the window and we blew it this year. I hope they all come back hungry and driven for next year. I would really hope we get to see Oliver as a triple premiership player. (Censored) the Brownlow. It's decided by people who can't officiate a game of football properly and controlled by a corrupt organisation.

Probably a reflection of the calibre of umpires the AFL uses.
  22. They really deserved the flag this year. This team has been a joy to watch. They never give up and really work well together. We've got some good ones in there. A good coach too by the looks.
  23. Munro another great tackle
  24. Gotta give the medal to Munro. 17 or 18 tackles now. He's gone in so hard today
  25. Got the feeling white, Munro, Dunstan and Chandler will drive this home. C'mon Dees you deserve it this season
