Not sure Rjay. He can be our biggest strength but Clarrys walking at the moment. He's off and I think a number of our players need to see changes to our plans too. Fingers crossed we see things shift this weekend.

I agree Earl, I think he is stubborn is losing the players because the plan isn't working. I found the interview really enlightening. Goodys coaching.... Jennings had a dig multiple times about coaching to stats and not being flexible and creative with match day coaching. Even mentioned that we don't seem to evaluate the opposition's game plans and have a strategy to counteract it. The moves. Gawn defensive ruck and Tmac forward ruck makes perfect sense. It was so good to see Tommy up the field and getting his hands on the ball at last. I'm sure he'll play into form if we let him get more of the pill. Lever, also makes sense. If Gawn is in the back half more often, Lever has more opportunity to intercept and run off. That's his strength and currently we're not utilising it. He mentioned Tagging their best out of the game, Harmes role. Defend further back. Thats what every team does to us. Seems to work a treat. Clarry forward. Why not. I think the players need to see changes happening too.

Those stats are horrific

Sounds like there's plenty on your plate Dazzle. Hope all turns out ok for you and your family and I guess it puts supporting this club in to perspective. I really like this forum too most of the time but it is a waste of valuable time in lots of ways

My great grand father was captain in 1876. Supported the club for 50 years now. Interstate member for at least the last 10. I can't bring myself to donate anymore. I have previously, because I believed the club could succeed. As I said to my wife tonight, I no longer have hope that this club can survive or succeed. Watching Brayshaw, Oliver Melksham etc this year, they've lost hope too. I'll keep buying a membership but I think this club is toast.
-
Thats the worrying bit. If the likes of Oliver, Brayshaw, Melksham aren't buying in and just jogging, it's up to the coaches to drive the culture and get them to buy in to the game plan. Why would a player buy in to our current game plan? Anyone?

Might be reasonably competitive in the NEAFL!

Passengers everywhere. Sparrow, Jones, Jetta and Weid / Brown have to come in.

They've been laughing all game.

Only once he kicks a goal

Watching this team every week is like being loaded into a shopping trolley at the top of a steep hill. It can start really exciting but by halfway through you realise you're totally out of control and about to crash and burn. Lucky the coach is there to take you back up the top to give you some learnings and send you down in the trolley again.

Geez I hate those ridiculous 50m frees. gifted goal to the cats

I think our list management is alright. We have the talent, but we're very good at ruining it. Chaos ball doesn't really bring out the best in most people. Kent is much better at St Kilda, Howe much better at Collingwood because they have better structure and game plans.
-
Yep, thought the same last week when they beat the Tiges. Transformed their game over summer. Good brand of footy. They're a much better team than us now.
-
Yep, I agree. Send them all to the NT. Can we sell all of our games up there? Haha

I started counting clean possession chains after the first quarter. I.e. clean kicks to a team mate or handpasses to a team mate in clear space (not standing still 1m away). The longest possession chain I saw was 4 clean kicks and one clean handpass in a 5 possession chain which led to a goal. I didn't see anything else close for the day.

You might be 50 percent right. ?

To those who said we weren't that bad yesterday. Get ready to grab your ankles.
-
I love the way he always made contact with opponents even after they had disposed of the ball. Just enough to let them know he was there. He's super quick but tough as nails as well.
-
Wow. An opponent wanting to keep possession? Just wow. Glad we don't play that rubbish style.

I think he's reverse positive trolling ?
