  1. Vintage Fritta out the back. He's all class.
  2. Gee umpire give port players an hour to dispose
  3. Should we adjust expectations for this game? Port are a good side and a tough ask at home. I believe we are good enough but it's going to be difficult. Will need our best from our mids and some luck re no injuries.
  4. I really want Petty playing forward but I'll understand if he doesn't. The fact that Hore is in bodes well for it to happen. Those two early marks he took last week reminded me of how much of a good fwd target he is. Bbb,Petty and Jvr will be tough to counter.
  5. Not to worry. He's so fast he can do both at the same time. Seriously though, it's a tough call where to play him. He's doing really well up the ground but he's impacting the scoreboard big time when up fwd. With the inclusion of some new talls up fwd who know what they are doing, our smalls are firing big time. I hope Chandler keeps progressing. I think this year will be a huge one for Kozzie.
  6. He is a solid mark and decent defender. Not the fastest about but it's hard to break into a team with the players we have. I would have picked him to play but at least the clubs being doing ok selection wise lately. Feel a tad sorry for Tommo when he gets dropped after a decent game . I don't know why they never trialled him fwd at Casey a year ago when the cupboard was well and truly empty.
  7. Nervous and excited about this game Port are better than Hawks and dogs. A real challenge game on an away ground. We are good enough but will we? Yes we bloody will. Dees by 23.
  8. I tipped the lions with great confidence. Scrap that, they are a rabble. Basically been surviving on their 52 win eight losses at the Gabba ratio. Now they can't even win there. Cameron is a gun but their other two big names up fwd are very inconsistent.
  9. A regular naysayer? Seriously 58er do have some sort of impairment where you just make things up. You sound like Trump. Or maybe he's someone you admire. One or two comments about not liking gather round and the cost of living don't exactly equate to regular. To be fair, If anyone is a naysayer, it's your good self. You often criticize other posters simply for having a different view. Good gracious. Imagine if everyone had the same opinions. Don't be so so sensitive if someone says something you don't like. You don't have to exaggerate or name call. Did I begrudge you spending that money going to the GF? No. I didn't even know about it. It's none of my business. You are a master of fabrication and hyperbole. Anyway try and enjoy yourself and maybe refrain from reading my posts if they irritate you. Just use the block function, this site offers. Perhaps before you use words like naysayer, you could note the irony of your many criticisms of others. Just some free advice.
  10. It's hard for betting agencies to tune odds early in the season. A lot of it is gleamed from last year's performances. That's why I believe these are odds are good for us. I believe we are more of a chance than they imply. Of course there is the home ground advantage ( but we do ok in Adelaide) and May out but we do have significant defence depth. I believe like the Hawks game our mids will dominate and we get the chocolates. Port should be worried about all our smalls firing too . Anb, Kozzy and Chandler look to be very dangerous. And even if you tag Oliver than Tracca or JV will just pull you apart. Bbb seems to moving quite well and Tmac has shown some of his old defending form. We have looked more like our 21 team of late.
  11. Maybe I just have different priorities. I am very concerned about my children securing a deposit for a house. As such Im happy to go without concerts and expensive sporting events. No way I'll spend 200 bucks to see a concert. What you call naysaying, I call love. Ps I don't begrudge you paying $ 465 to go the the gf. Money very well spent. I just know my kids are very worried about securing a property one day and it's certainly not going to get easier. As such Im happy to go without. Perhaps I shouldn't complain about prices that others are happy to pay. Cheers.
  12. Works both ways though. * Jvr 193cm *Harrison Petty 197 cm * Bbb 200 cm. I'm hoping our mids who have been in cracking form will dominate the clearances and starve ports fwd line of supply. The big positive is finally our small brigade our impacting the scoreboard in aanb....kozzy and chin. I personally would have Tommo as a sub in case Hore can't do the job or we lose a tall in Bbb or Petty. I think #Jadednomore was correct and we will see Petty up fwd again. I hope so. Last week after a long absence from competition footy he took two great marks in the first ) sadly he didn't convert) and helped get our first goal through Kozzy. Worse case without Tommo is Petty swings back.
  13. I would have included Tommo. At least as a sub.
  14. They were probably under a directive from the cfc re the saints game.
  15. The difference in umpiring htb in our game and last night was huge. It was weird they let it go so much in our game.
