Hit on Clarry
I'm not sure it is tolerated by most. Maybe a few [censored] commentators. I don't want to trivalise the current violent attacks on women in this country but I'm sure most men are disgusted by them. I will argue the judicial system isn't as concerned as much given the poor decisions and light sentences. But Im certainly angry about them , as are most of mates.

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Also as you mentioned if we need to sort out our fwd line. It's a pretty big headache at the moment. Thankfully we have found an excellent new component in Disco there but Petty is a real worry. Calls for Casey but I don't think he'll be dropped. Apparently Bbb has struggled at Casey. And for some reason Jvrs form isn't as good as it was last year. Is now the time to play Fullerton? I mean he can't really offer less than the two talls in TP and BN. And we'll get some ruck work thrown in. Our mids will sort themselves out. I think they have been down in general play but the three you named are champions of the game and will dominate again. Of this I'm sure. Except maybe for Sparrow but I don't think we have anyone to replace him with. I'd maybe make Woey the sub and give Laurie a game who impressed for the first time in a limited run. As for our lions game sluggish effort I can understand that being from fatigue but the tigers game with a substantial break from the bye doesn't equate. Unless the club are simply training to the max. How else can one explain quite a few of the leagues top rated players butcher like they did? This cats game is a huge one for us. Hard to feel confident though.

As others have mentioned, the next two games will be the ideal measurement for where this club is at. I believe we have reason to be concerned. The game pies v dons looked like a different league. But if there's one thing that has changed about our club in the last few years is their never say die attitude. Maybe we will come roaring back. And if by chance we win the next two, I think we will definitely be top four and a certain flag favorite again.

How rest and preparation dictate AFL performance
I guess the cats game is going to reveal a lot then.

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
I agree with our last two performances being off. But I do give credit to the two games we won in Adelaide. It was, to be fair an unbelievable effort over there. Sadly I think those wins took their toll. And as for the tigers game maybe we over trained in the interim or something. Because despite doubling the tigers score I haven't seen this team fumble and turn it over so much for eons. Hopefully as Bbo said a simple aberration. I'm worried about Petty but I guess stoked about Turner .

I take on Binman' s stats about the quality of centre clearances. The ccs weren't the issue for me. I thought the midfield problem was generally their lack of impact in general play. Often when they did get the ball ( and statistically they were all down on disposals) it was the errant disposal. If it wasn't for our backline it could have been a very different story.

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Geelong
Can't be any worst than Petty. That's a no brainier. And we get some ruck skills thrown in. It's now or never with Fullerton. I mean normally Petty would get the benefit of the doubt if he'd played a few bad ones. But they were more than bad I'm afraid. He's a proven quality player that either fluked a couple of very good forward games and or suffering from a clear lack of pre season conditioning. It's tempting to put him in the backline but Tmac deserves to stay.

You didn't mention our handballs which for me were at least just as bad. Players handballed like the pill like it was ticking inside. Honestly looked like many didn't want it or take responsibility with it. So many handballs just went up in the air and were intercepted or when they did find a player it was usually one in a more precarious position. Often done by a seasoned player too. There were too many instances at times when a player wasn't really looking in the right direction as the he attempted handball. Yes we are struggling to find a working forward line once again. How Fritta, Petty and Jvr got away with laying a total of 3 tackles between them v the lions. The shining star of last night at least was Turner. But our midfield is the most pressing issue at the min. It's been flat now for two weeks. Prior to that it was struggling to win clearances. And all of Maxy's great tap work was sharked by the opposition. Excluding Oliver who has had genuine injuries,( I thought he was ok), Viney wasn't sighted, Tracca only had a couple of cameos and Sparrow was or is rather the proverbial bridesmaid. Ultimately the sloppiness seemed contagious and begs the question of why. This is a team that just bagged two scalps in Adelaide Although the celebrations of those two wins was perhaps a tad too strong because we have clearly lost sight of the big picture since. But again there were over a dozen comprehensive flag 21 players on the track last night so it begs the question WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. Im putting this out to all the seasoned and genuine knowledgeable posters of the game because I'm seriously baffled. And with all due respect please don't say we doubled their score because we were terrible. Many of our errant kicks were from no pressure acts by the opposition. Those couple of just poor out of bounds on the full and direct kicks to opposite players standing by their lonesome are evidence of a sub par performance. A good thing Richmond are just shot. How can we confidently face the cats next week? Sorry to dump this on you Binners. But I just want an attempted no nonsense fair critique. I think it's very naive not to be concerned after that in terms of us getting to a top four spot. To quote a line from that iconic Oz movie .." Tell em their dreaming." Maybe I should change my moniker to don't make me angrier. Cheers.
