  1. There is no way we ever trade Hogan.....we need another just like him
  2. Didnt think I would ever really be lamenting the loss of Garland but we could use his height lately.
  3. I was going to cite Dogs depth,......Pedo as a back up frwd is not great as hes more of a utlilty player than a goal kicker
  4. My opinion was we have 3 key frwds and not six...Hogan, Watts and Pedo....the latter who while consistent has never been great at booting many goals which leaves 2.....the others are not key frwds as yet in that they have very little experience. Take watts and Hogan out of the frwd line which is what we have seen this year and we have not won.
  5. I know the club couldnt forsee Watts role in the ruck....but we have been caught napping with our forwards. If Hogan is injured or suspended we have no players except for Wieds who I think is a fair way away from his best. I suppose Smith jnr was a bummer injury as well and T.Smith also but the latter I think was always a stop gap. Was Pedo the third tall? Have we have been exposed missing another big frwd,
  6. Where to start. Diner plans get cancelled. Steamer on the fritz. Kids get colds. Dee ....well........
  7. If iselect is our new sponser , I forsee many poor jokes re team selection over the year........ including this one.
  8. Thanks A F....your right, he was in the side against Freo as well when he laid one tackle. I guess I thought he was good against Geelong but he was less than average in his second so cudos for the FD making a change. I think I was just baffled by JKH's chances but I suppose he is young and the club want to give him some confidence....hence Goody singing his praises. Be interesting to see Kent play today.
  9. Maybe, although he's been coasting for a while IMO. He may have kicked goals last year, but his defensive pressure was very up and down. I think the FD see how important he could be to our side and wanted to demand a greater output. That's good coaching and selection for mine. What I didnt get was why Kent only got to play one game as opposed to 2 or 3. Aside from his form (which was at least a pass) in his one game why was he not afforded the chances that so many others have had?
  10. I seriously think we are a good chance of winning or at least losing another close one.
  11. In wins Melbourne is taking 113 uncontested marks per game. In losses that number drops to 72.8. Their differential of 40.3 is the largest in the competition through seven rounds, ahead of the Saints on 28.2 and four times the average differential in wins and losses. Yep boy have we missed Gawn and Spencer. Add to that Hogan our biggest marker, missing 3 games this year and it certainly explains a few things.
  12. Its a good point. Discretion should have been used.
  13. Good point....despite our lack of points, we are playing our best footy in ten years. I understand his frustration of selection and the exclusion of some but it is Goody's first year and he needs to be cut some slack. I liked his no excuses review of last weeks game. I think the recruitment over the last 4 years has been excellent. Man I hope we surprise everyone and beat the crows.
  14. Thanks for the update. I was fearing the worst for this young gun. I hope he plays many games in the red and blue.
  15. Lost me on the last one but Gus will be a champ excluding injuries. I wish him the best of luck.
  16. I dont blame the poor bast$ad. He played one game this year had 20 odd poss's and kicked 2 g 3 and was dropped. JKH brings sfa and wont even tackle. Hardly motivating to put in.
  17. I think ive read these posts before
  18. Viney laid 17 tackles. Every player had a tackle tally except one. JKH had zero tackles. That is just unacceptable ....he was either injured or lazy.
  19. A lack of trust in their own ability at times with the insane handballing
