  1. So if we win and play Cats in a prelim it will be interesting given how often they choke.
  2. I'm am very confident of a win but a big one by us. Smashed them in brisvegas. Will murder them in Melb. What are the chances of so many players on our side play so bad again. They all know this do or die and they are plenty equipped to do. Trac. Oliver, Koziie and Yes anb to have big games. Not sure about Mellksham if he'll come good again. He does worriy me. My kingdom for another big fwd..
  3. Ii Geelong bad ...I hadn't read the news. Anyway without sounding harsh 96 is a good inningsxwhen I think of so many poor mfc players who went so young. But vale Que2.
  4. Interesting point
  5. Let's be honest if those players who had stinkers against the Swans play well tonight we will murder the lions.
  6. Kozzie to go to ballistic
  7. Go those um Demons what.
  8. Well we are still in the race. Win this one and we know we can we are back to last week's position. A prelim awaits.
  9. Can you please send me this...it won't open anymore
  10. I'll get flack for this but hardly anyone has suggested putting Weid in means that he should probably be desisted. It's not personal, maybe he will do better at another club. We have to risk playing another forward and dropping Melksham. Or be creative and use a defender maybe Tomlinson up there. Or let Gawn ruck the whole game and leave Jackson up forward all the time. Bbb has been taking all the heat because he's the only tall in our forward line. Come on Goody shake things up . Not much to lose at this point. Sure we can beat the lions but after that, it's all over for us. I hope we get a great big strong, proven and experienced chf for dogga. He seemed mentally moved on against the Swans. Best of luck to him. I can understand moving back home but we need to be well compensated and then some more. As for Melksham. He surprised us all with 2 great games but then put in a shocker. I hope he can recapture that great form but we need someone taller there. Is Adam T an option? Got to do something Simon. What about Petty or Lever? Before people start screaming our backline will fall apart....aside from the lions game it already has. Lever did little in his last game. A few marks and a few ineffectual kicks. Why not put him up Forward? And Tomlinson down back? If we dont put a 2nd tall in our forward line than we will see few goals kicked. Bbb is always monstered by 2 or 3 tall defenders. Let's think outside the box for once. Goody is a great coach but his only flaw is his unwillingness to take risks or make bold decisions. His constant choice of Melksham is proof of that. And while for 2 games it actually paid off....in the other 20 he played he was average at best. I think Goody just got lucky with Milk with those 2 games.or maybe he thought he had no other options. Why hasn't Milk played like that for the last 2 years? It's great that he played so well but what happened to him in the Swans game. His lack of chasing and tackles was limited at best. I don't have the magic answers....but I believe putting everything on the table is a good start to finding one. You have to manufacture options. There's always some solution if you look and try hard enough. Lever was having little impact down back so why not plonk him at ff and Max down back for half a quarter. I can't be hard on Simon ....he got us a flag after so long but I wish he was a little more proactive at times. He's had to a lot with less this year. No doubt about it. Constant backline ins and outs has been very unsettling. Our midfield hasn't been the same as Tracca has been carrying injures all year so teams just need to focus on shutting down Oliver. Thankfully Jv stepped up but had a bad one against the Swans. Tmac going down was about the time we started struggling. Weid has never really answered the call. Bbb has struggled in form at times too. It's been a tougher year compared to last, injury wise. We did well to finish 2nd. But to throw away that double chance with so many players simply not turning up was completely disappointing. Kozzie even if he doesn't kick goals always pressures by running all day to curb players...force them to make mistakes. Didn't see him do much of this. Even his tackle count was way down. He was not alone there are asnanother half a dozen who also had mares. Yes and Sydney played well but we played more poorly in my view. We have the lions covered at least but it's hard to see us going any further. But as dees fan we live in hope. Plus we've got the 21 gf replay to watch. Ps can we definitely not try Weid again. Tx for listenimg.
  11. Just shows how lucky we were with less injuries last year.
  12. What happened with Milshake. Has been ordinary for 2 years but gets selected mostly due to injuries. Comes out and plays tge 2 best games of his career almost and than went back in his shell at the worst time. With Bbb, Kozzie and Jackson down on form there was only Fritta. Oliver popped up and kicked 2. Goody could have made some fwd changes at 3 qtr time.
  13. That's why I say keep him in. It's debatable though.
  14. Because Salem is half the player hexwas last year. I'd keep him in but I get others saying replace him.
  15. Please let's not revisit thus. I guess he's a better choice tgan Melksham si I get where you are coming from but there must be another option if if we have to try Petty up there. The weid experiment ifor me is well and truly over. Weid would do his career a favour if he changed clubs.
  16. And last year we couldn't lose a 2nd half almost.
  17. So true. Usually has 2 talls on him.
  18. I remember when we recruited Bbb and thinking how are we going to fit Weid....bbb and Tmac in the same side. Many even suggesting Tmac play on the wing. Well so much for that brain teaser. If Jackson goes and he played like he has, can we please get a huge chf for him?
  19. This is true he did but I reckon as a forward you need to do more than just keep a player out of the contest. That's a defenders role imho. For me, the only test of a good fwd is how many goals and or goal assists they have. Melksham failed with zip. I think one can successfully argue Patty stopped milk from scoring any goals and bbb only score one.
  20. Our forward linexwas crowded also because of the fact we used to be able to get a lot of run and carry from or backline. Players would run and spread and move the moment it was in the hands of the player kicking out. Didn't happen against the Swans.
  21. We will beat Brisbane...I'm sure of it. It's also very possible we could roll Cats in a prelim given our history with them. But with Tracc injured and no 2nd tall it's a big call re the cats. We need to swap Melksham with a tall...maybe Tomlinson or Tmac with a plate in his foot. What do we have to lose? Bowie for Anb maybe who has lost a lot of form. That's all the changes I'd make. Bbb is tall but he's not really a big man like Tmac, Franklin or May ie strength. Swans loss was hard to take . They are a good side but it's just we had at least half a dozen players who really didn't turn up. Ok sometimes you have a bad game. Of course it happens. But what was disappointing the most is you can have a bad game but still try by pressure acts and at least still tackle. For many their tackle counts revealed they didn't even try. And that's what I don't get. As if they knew they were having a bad night and rather than do what they can....its as if they just threw in the towel. I won't name names but anyone can check the stat sheets. We went downhill a while ago but beating Carlton and Brisbane, I thought we had turned it around. At least we won't go out in straight sets.
  22. Plus interstate teams play there more than vic clubs play at other interstate grounds. Watched the game on TV.....it seemed to have a lot of swans fans. People forget there are still an inordinate ammount of people in VIc that still follow swans/ sth Melbourne.
  23. Often gets the best defenders so bbb has it easier. We lost a few after Tmac went down so yea.
  24. Umps helping cats across the line.
  25. Last year we always came storming home.
