  1. ND would be thinking to himself we can win next six. Get players back and get on a roll. At the moment some teams lucky to be in the eight. While i dont agree with all his selections i dont think injurys alone are the reason for us being zip-8.While the candle still burns let ND dream away, i think i might join him. GO DEES @ GO ROBBO
  2. Miller should be played at CHB, for this week and coming weeks. If he still continues to dissapoint by all means move him on. I think if he plays consectutive games there he will surprise many.
  3. You hit the nail right on the head with both points you make. The key being the rooms would be OURS ALONE.
  4. Totally agree. If they have theyre own changerooms they would run out City end, left pocket. Putting them further away. This doesn`t bother me. I will still cheer them on to the ground. If we had our own changerooms we could have the Team of the Century painted on the wall. Photos of previous club champions and successful eras. With a bit of luck it might inspire it might inspire some of the boys
  5. Dont know if this has been posted before as I have recently joined. Last year while attending a game I was speaking to a MFC director in the Redlegs Social Club. I asked why `The oldest football club in Australia`declined an offer to have permanent changerooms at its home ground, the home of football, possibly the greatest sports stadium in the world the one and only G. The answer was simple, it was discussed(not sure if players were involved) and they decided they wanted the team running out in front of the members. I said so after a game all the posters, banners , sponsors jargen ect is pulled down to make way for the likes of the Lions or the Crows. He replied `pretty much`. I can only speak for myself self, but i sit on level 2 amongst the Redlegs, I consider myself a fan. If i look to my immediate right I see red and blue in the Olympic stand. If i look to my left or above or below me i see even more. No one runs out in front of us. If its not to late i think we should change our stance. This will put them on the other side of the ground but they can warm up at the Punt Rd end in front of the FAITHFUL.
  6. Stating the obvious the more kicks/h.balls one gets helps but the key stat is efficency. This is out of 100%. Clangers are not the only deciding factor in this. For a good example check Saturdays sport herald sun and compare Goodwin and Mcleod.
  7. Round 1 against the Saints summed it up. All pre season we heard about the hunger after being knocked out by Freo last year. What garbage. Two easy losses to Carlton last year costing us a top four spot. Players under achieving. Some peoples logic would say only the players that are injured know how to tackle, sheppard, man up and pressure the ball carrier. No ND is not totally to blame, the players must share some of this. It takes a bigger man to walk away.
  8. Thanks condemned 84. Happy to be along for the ride.
  9. 14 games left. How many more slow starts are going to `kill us`. Injuries or not, ND cant get in side the players heads. We struggle to play 4 qtrs, struggle to thump sides, we are no longer mentally or physically tough. Come to think of it, mental toughness has been lacking for some time. We should do some tackling drills with the Melbourne Storm. Learn how to hit opponents hard but fair. Simple things like every player tackled must be wrapped up and put to ground, not allowed to get off a handpass. If you are not getting a kick, why not say Im going to apply so much pressure on my direct opponent Ill force a turnover and win myself a kick. GET BACK TO BASICS
  10. ND to be told this week his contract wont be renewed. No exceptions. This should be made public. If he chooses to see year out is up to him. Club should contact Guy Mckenna. This is a man who has had premiership sucess as a player and has spent time under a first rate coach. Credit where credit is due, Malthouse has always got the most out of a `suspect list`. Yes J.Longmire also fits that criteria but would he bring the right game plan? Anyone can drop numbers behind the ball, but that should not be our first option. One on one is crucial, long kicking built on the back of a strong defensive unit. Miller is constantly under seige on this site. The bloke can play football. His shooting for goal is no worse than Roo, Tarrant or the whole Richmond forward line. Before Lethal went to Brisbane there was a redhead running around the forward 50. He was quickly moved to CHB. Could Leppitsch play.... yes, could he cut it as a forward... no. Maybe not this year but in recent times we have all seen him give Hall and Pav spankings. His move to the backline should be a permanent one. Allowing him time to settle back in. With Miller, Rivers, Carroll and Wheels as the core, things start to look good. Our flankers/runners should be given equal time to prove their worth for next year to fill the remaining two spots. Newton should be given his chance. Tell him he will get eight to ten games in a row regardless of form. Taking the pressure of him, letting him show us what he can do. Offer Pav 800000. For this to have any chance we must have a new coach. Who we give Freo with a draft pick is debatable. Time will tell. If we are to chase a player of his callibre, we must go hard. Should we not get him, all is not lost.
