  1. I know that we were into Duursma last year as an underaged player and he's projected to go around the 20's. I watched some of him last year, he's very untapped. But has some special talent. Wouldn't be surprised if we got him.
  2. Well I beg your pardon Binman, you're in the minority. Part of me feels sad about losing Jess. But I'm super excited about landing May, KK and grabbing a pick in the 20's. May will be absolutely enormous for us. His value goes beyond game-day ability. Opposition sides would never have once felt 'scared' about walking into a back six that contained Oscar and Frost. That will change now.
  3. No, they're disappointed about 'pick value' that we're getting back. Nothing else.
  4. Why awful? Posters are complaining and trade period is not even over. They have no idea what we'll end up with and they refuse to look at the picture at large. If we don't win a flag in the next 5 years and Hogan takes Freo to one, that's when I'll admit that the trade was a fail or that we got 'unders' for Hogan.
  5. Lols. This place is going to be a cracker to read later. It'll be the same nancies who complained about getting Melksham, Hibbo, trading Watts, Frawley, etc etc etc. We'll win a flag in the next 5 years if we land May. Bank it.
  6. I find you highly amusing. How them tea leaves going?
  7. Look, anyone that has a clue about footy knows May is quality and should be back to his best in a good side like ours. It's really simple. Those that don't rate him clearly don't watch enough of him or are just clueless. One can only laugh when posters start talking about which opposition player kicked what amount of goals on him. It's just massive lols. If one's understanding of football only goes that far, there's no point in engaging further with them.
  8. If we win a flag, the idea that we lost out on 'picks' will hold no weight. This is about the value of May and KK for us over the next 2-5 years vs Hogan. That's all that we should be worrying about. Yet for some reason, supporters have become brainwashed regarding draft picks and value. Because once upon a time it's all we had to look forward to. The other thing I'd like to point out is the fact that draft picks are also a risk. So really, y'all are kicking up a fuss about nothing.
  9. If we win a flag in the next 2-5 years on the back of a ballsy decision to effectively do a straight swap of Hogan for May and KK, picks won't matter one iota. Will they? Player movement has never been more active, the landscape is always changing and supporters need to get with the times. Whilst some of you worry about draft picks, clubs like Essendon, Collingwood, St Kilda, Hawthorn etc are becoming increasingly aggressive in this domain. Think for a minute how competitive the top 8 will be next year? The are 12 + teams who can make it. Goodwin and co have clearly identified that our window is here and it's now and our most pressing need is shoring up our defence as it was clearly our biggest weakness last year and was the sole reason teams were able to stay with us during games last year. My feeling is we're going to do a deal and there will be some unhappy posters on demonland. But I also have the feeling that Goody, being the ruthless, uncompromising competitor he is, wants a flag next year and can see we're within reach. Here's our chance.
  10. Always overrated on here, but as others have stated, he was a super contributor for us as an inside mid in that first year he arrived. Never quite 'came on' as a former number three pick. Good luck to the fella.
  11. Dream scenario if Freo refuse to give up what we ask: We keep Hogan, he plays CHB all year and we win the 2019 flag. Meanwhile, May verbally agrees to a contract for the end of next year and comes to us as a Free Agent. Freo finish next year on the bottom of the ladder with a percentage of 52 with their leading goal scorer being Joel Hamling with a total of 16 playing as a key defender. West Coast offer us the deal of a lifetime for Hogan, managing somehow to acquire two first round picks and a second round pick for an exchange of later picks with us. We now have the ammunition to trade for Kelly and he nominates MFC as his club of choice in part due to his surprise engagement to Christian Salem. Melbourne win next 4 flags. Stevethemanjordan wins the lotto and announces his retirement effective immediately as self-appointed moderator and champion poster of demonland. The end.
  12. Lol. I just simply don't understand the need to write such things. Unless you actually know something? Which I'm assuming you don't given how many of these comments are thrown around by various posters. If it doesn't happen, I expect a formal apology to the entire forum of demonland and their members. An apology for being a [censored].
  13. Years ago a Freo supporter was sitting in the MCC and the ring a little bell on the second level whenever the midgie got near the ball. I proceeded to lob a wedge of Vacherin Mont D'or at the nuff's face which shut him up.
  14. "bulldogs wants to join us" The thread titles around here need to lift. Seriously.
  15. Nah but Hogan is a free agent next year... ... ..... (hides behind large rock*) *large rock was the best I could come up with.
  16. Hang on. Wait a minute. Freo are demanding pick 5 and another late first round pick for Neale and won't budge. Yet they've offered us pick 11 and a second rounder for Jesse? Right so they're just making jokes, I get it now. Haha good one Freo.
  17. Clearly he needed a little rocket at his exit meeting or at the least, some stern words. It's always obvious to see when a player needs to put in more work. He needs to look at the way Clary turned himself around, Gawn the same, Salem's pre-season last year etc. Those three have reaped the benefits of having enormous off-seasons. Petracca only needs one and he will explode, then hopefully never look back. They're still young, it obviously takes time to get an understanding of what elite preparation and work ethic looks like if you don't already display it. So much upside it's riciculous.
