  1. Petty is the forward who gave us next to nothing. Can't play him back because McDonald is solid in defence. Ben Brown and Roo played well in the final qtr. Petty goes! Who comes in for HP depends on tomorrow's VFL game. Maybe we do without the third tall forward. I would definitely retain Windsor. I would keep Tholstrop as well, but if Hunter plays, and plays well in VFL, he will come in. Kossie comes back! Woewodin gets full game at VFL.
  2. 6 Gawn 5 McDonald 4 May 3 Langdon 2 Rivers 1 Chandler
  3. Time for Tholstrup!
  4. Fullarton was good in parts. Woey probably our best mid. Verall improved a little in second half. Tholstrup and Brown were involved and will improve on their first outing. Tomlinson was our most consistent. Laurie had his moments and certainly wasn’t all bad as some seem to suggest
  5. Tomlinson and Tholstrup showing appropriate vigour
  6. Woey, Fullarton in ruck, giving us something
  7. 6 Petracca 5 Fritsch 4 Oliver 3 Gawn 2 Langdon 1 Pickett
  8. Isn't this Wilson's modus operandi; give exposure to a half truth then claim to not support it?
  9. 6 Oliver 5 Gawn 4 May 3 Billings 2 Petracca 1 Viney
  10. Swap Ed and Lever description and I would rate it your most accurate ever!
  11. I note that Grundy came in 35th on the Fantasy Points scoreboard last night. I wonder if we will hear the same sort of media trumpeting we had to endure in round zero!
  12. Its not just a Brownlow bias... it permeates every media and 'expert' analysis. It is the way of 'modern' society!
  13. No such group exists!
  14. I believe Neitz was an outstanding FF at our U/19 level and progressed as a forward to the seniors. However we had a gap to fill at CHB and he was moved there for a season (or two).
  15. 6 Viney 5 Salem 4 May 3 Fritsch 2 McVee 1 Bowey Promising Windsor, Howes, Oliver Disappointments Petracca, Sparrow, Lever, Schache, JVR Best not commented upon Spargo, Laurie, Chandler,
  16. Disappointing second half. I am always disappointed when blokes who haven't quite made it are given a golden opportunity and don't contribute. I'll name names... Chandler, Spargo and Laurie gave me no reason to want to see them in round 1. I call it every time... May and Lever panic when the ball hits the ground. It hurts to see Grundy take the points. Sparrow was ordinary... no step up there. Windsor had his moments. Howes was safer than a few of our established backs. JVR needs to get clear on the lead. Great to see Oliver have a positive effect, We bow our heads to an opposition that were missing key players but played like winners when we played like a bunch of fumbling novices. Rivers, like Sparrow did not stand up in post Brayshaw football.
  17. "We can't play both Tomlinson and McDonald."
  18. You missed the point
  19. Point of interest; Tomlinson and McDonald have played 22 games together for a 15W to 7L record.
  20. JVR has gone from a dead eye dick to a dick eye dead!
  21. Someone should tell the selectors that Tomlinson is no good! He's played 177 games of AFL football and apparently "isnt up to AFL standard". In those 177 games he has averaged 15 disposals and 5.5 marks! Perhaps it's your analysis, Werridee, that isn't up to standard!
  22. I thought Benny was very competitive in the big man training drills just before he went to have that knee cleaned up.
  23. It's true! Thanks for everything, Gus!
  24. Just a reminder to the football world; at present we have 15 Premiership players fit and in good early season form. That's not counting Oliver or Petty, who will join soon. We also have a gun recruit ready to go on one wing, an x factor mid-forward from Adelaide, as well as Billings. We have a maturing young group; JVR, McVee, Bowey and Woewodin. This doesn't ensure four points every game, but it does mean we have a list that can beat any other AFL team when in form.
