  1. Salem melksham and kenterfield will be back in full training in a week.
  2. Reading through all of these posters “ best 23” teams it seems there's almost 19 locks - jvr salem lindsay langford windsor lever steele turner gawn culley jiath langdon taylor rivers fritsch sparrow latrelle kosi chandler The biggest queries seem to be the positions of full back and full forward, plus a couple for the bench. Obviously recovery from injury will play a big part. These are the players i see fighting for the last 4 spots - May kolt lawrie melky ( if fit) jefferson howes tmac mihocek sharp petty ( if fit) AJ kentfield AMW (13) I havent considered due to injury or form or not ready for seniors- viney bowey matthews mcadam adams heath campbell white berry mentha onley henderson Comments?
  3. Howes Petty ( if fit) lever Salem turner lindsay Culley rivers windsor Latrelle jvr sparrow Chandler jeffo fritsch Gawn langford kosi Inter: jiath langdon kolt steele ( taylor or lawrie as 5th)
  4. I was at training today. Couldn't believe how long it went. From 9.30 till after 12.45. Didnt spot chandler. Also absent was bowry of course. Campbell only walking in a neck brace. Rehabbers were viney gawn melky matthews mcadam adams heath mihocek sharp petty hendo( not sighted) I have no knowledge on their availability Was quite a few fill ins Defenders in the match sims i noticed were 1 8 10 14 19 22 25 42 Mids 4 5 6 9 12 13 15 16 24 31 32 33 36 40 Fwds 2 21 42 44 A lot of mids rotating as fwds as well Rucks were 34 42 2 Overall the vibe was good Lots of talk especially Lever . May instructing a lot. Stand outs: Roo was great Lawrie did well! Culley was great Kosi exceptional Was awesome to see Stephen King stop plays to instruct groups of players clearly . Was a lovely morning! Lots of flexibility with players Big improvers in Roo, culley and jeffo ( at one stage was marking very well and kicking quite a few goals)
  5. Training was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal, aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s improving but many weeks still away. It was good to see Caleb Windsor. He ran laps. Difficult to see how close or if he will make round one. In the probable team I noticed the following players – Steven May, JvR, Christian Salem, Trac, Jake Lever, Disco Turner, Max Gawn, Clayton Oliver, Ed Langdon, Jake Bowey, Harvey Langford, Blake Howes, Trent Rivers, Bayley Fritsch, Tom Sparrow, Harry Petty and Kade Chandler. Then there seems to be a contest for the three wing spots out of these four players – Jack Billings, Harry Sharp, Xavier Lindsay and Woey. They constantly changed teams and I think one may be unlucky unless there’s another injury and the unlucky one will be the sub. The defenders( as you can see from above ) seem set and with the seventh defender they are possibly waiting to see if Windsor will make it or not. Also the seventh forward is difficult to know at the moment and whether they decide to go tall or short. In the match simulation both Jeffo and AJ played in the possible team only. I did notice Gawn at times was playing up forward so whether they decide to go for two ruckman I’m not sure. Bailey Laurie also did okay for the possibles and perhaps could be sub or unfortunately may just miss. So overall it was a lighter Wednesday training than normal with just 1/2 a match simulation and the free choice activities and I guess they’re gearing up for the game on Saturday. It was nice to see Trac in full training even though he wore the hat as did a few others. I was impressed by the speed of Langdon and Oliver also got heaps of the ball. Tom Campbell certainly keeping Gawny on his toes, which is great.
  6. I went to training today. Details to follow
  7. Despite the website having said all week that there was training at casey today, there wasnt and the gates were locked. Some of the boys had a hit of cricket, and sounded like a fun game/session in the gym. So not sure whether this was a last minute change or not.
  8. I loved training today and i thought it was lot more intense and more full on than it has been previously. Wouldnt be surprised if theres one or two debutants in windsor and howes early in the season. Very pleased that the gates are open to the public now, and it was lovely to meet you today Ros.
  9. Petty didn’t train today. Dunstan and melksham likely ins.
