POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast
Feels like maybe they have just hit a wall after 3 years at the very top, Oliver clearly down for obvious reasons, trac looks like he has got to big and lost some agility, viney just getting older and has begun the slow decline. Sparrow hasn’t really taken the next step and I don’t think anb is really a legitimate answer but tries his best and is fine to fill rotations on occasion

I don’t want to sound overly dramatic because we lost tonight but do you think the window might be closed or quickly closing on this specific iteration of our team. It feels like our current ladder position 7th is probably a accurate reflection of where we sit and I can’t see that significantly changing this season. Do dees need to go hard at the trade table end of season and move on some premiership players in order to get capital to go bring in some new high end talent. Similar to what we did with Hogan leaving and May coming in at the end of 2018.

Dees sit 7th and is probably a accurate reflection of how they are going, I said it before the year we weren’t a top 4 side anymore and I think that is been born out the more the year goes on. The window on another flag with this specific list is probably over now and we need to reload and go again with some big trades end of the year. Ala how we got Steven May and Jake Lever originally

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Carlton
What expected scores won’t show is that they had us at arm length all night and just took the foot off too early and panicked at the end, once you get a lead like that it affords you all kinds of options, if we weren’t so far behind maybe Trac doesn’t go fwd full time and blues continue to build a lead. No way can anyone convince me we deserved to win that game last night based on expected scores, we were thoroughly outplayed for the for most of the first 3 qtrs. To add expected score also assumes each point could be a potential goal, what it misses is if you goal it goes back to the centre and you reset, if you miss it’s a kick out and it’s still in your half for a potential repeat entry and another scoring chance which is often what occurs.

And who played on him on Wednesday, he isn’t winning much of it regardless of who is on him

Our loss to lions looking more costly with every passing week, we better bring our a game the next fortnight or the top 4 will gap us

Because most people think you need a man mountain of a key fwd, the game is changing and a more mobile tall is the future

We also had Brayshaw last year and last year isn’t this year. Since Oliver has been injured we haven’t been able to play our preferred way, even Goodwin has come out to say we aren’t winning the way we would like in the 2 games prior. Trying to win from the back half is not sustainable and I can’t see that turning round unless Oliver is part of it
