People over 2m tall are pretty hard to hide. If Daniher was already in Melbourne and has to fly back to Brisbane, it would be impossible for someone not to notice. And if he has stayed in Brisbane, someone would have noticed that he hadn't travelled.

Fair point but news seems to have come directly from the club.  Anyway, apparently they have brought in a tall regardless , I have no idea who Fullarton is.  Kent Kingsley anyone ?

You'd think $435 would buy you much better entertainment than Mike Brady & G-Flip (whoever that is). Where has the saving on fireworks been allocated?

Robbie Williams , geez that’s a blast from the past

    One win changes everything

So beat Brisbane and the mood changes completely (for the supporters at least)

But for the players & coaching staff the loss last night will serve as a lesson.  It's a wake up call

They will have all woken up today with a new resolve.  Part of that being that there can't be any more losses.  And the players will not have to be told that their disposal under pressure last night was not up to scratch.  Right across the board in all areas of the ground we were below par

We can only get better so we go out and beat Brisbane and we are back on track.  What lies ahead after that are teams that are not unbeatable

And pointing the finger at any one individual or another is not the answer either.  At club level, the talk will be about every player and the whole team (all at once)

Our destiny is entirely in our own hands. Bring our best and we can win and then keep winning

Its true, every team has to win three finals to win the flag.  We are still in that category :)

After reading this thread the main theory seems to be we lost because the Mebourne fans didn’t make enough noise.  Not that Sydney’s pressure strangled us, not that they were cleaner, not that our bottom tier players were unsighted, but that the supporters didn’t make enough noise 🤦‍♀️

Nobody said that.  Its on record that even a star player wants us to make more noise, and last night a member of the coaching staff tried to gee the crowd up.  Like it or not, it does make a difference.  And we are not good at it, thats all.

The Dees fans around me were cheering and getting behind the team

The Swans fans were not louder than us until the last quarter when the game was done

I don't get this Dees fans are quiet line.

I've had reserved seats in M50 for several years, had front row in M50 last night.  Whether its bay specific or not, the lack of noise and crowd involvement in M50 absolutely is apparent. You dont have to just listen, you can look around and see the lack of animation, and its not just when we're well down.  I mentioned earlier Choco Williams twice flapped his arms and yelled "get us going" facing M50 and twice there was a smattering of applause, thats it.  I cant speak for other bays, but its absolutely apparent where I regularly sit unfortunately.

Nah that's crap, Melbourne supporters sat on their hands all night, only a couple of goals in it early in the last and couldn't get a [censored] peep out of them. I hate to say it but we have one of the worst group of supporters in world sport. Kick off the tartan rugs and make some bloody noise, it was noticeable from the first bounce and didn't get better even when we got in front. It's embarassing.

I’m agreeing, I was front row next to the interchange and Choco TWICE tried to gee the crowd up in M50.  Barely a peep and was actually embarrassing
