  1. At least I have a vision for the future
  2. The crows are throwing a tanty. Historically quite good at throwing them but haven’t generally lead to great success
  3. You clearly live in an echo chamber of happy clapper demon supporters who over rate their list. Pettys best is behind him. Mini rebuild time cause we suck
  4. With petty our chances of making the grand final would have gone right up. In hindsight it may have been the difference. Considering we lost two finals by less than two goals and Collingwood won three finals by about 2 goals it was a season of very fine margins. God, imagine if we had melksham and Gus. We could have romped it in.
  5. No I didn’t. I know what you meant. You’ve run out of dribble for the day, that’s fair. I’ll see you when something else bad happens, like we lose a game or the best player we’ve had in a few decades gets traded. Keep up the paradiddles my child.
  6. More well rounded based on what. Has he been the best player in the league the last two years prior to this one? What on earth could you measure. He hasn’t played. Clarry has such a rare skill set. It’s hard to compare him to anyone. Treloar and Stephenson are what you are comparing him to? In what world are they even working as his butler? there’s a reason every supporter of every other club is now saying get the war chest out, what picks do we have to offer, get it done etc.
  7. You have to look to actual royalty to find a more silver spooned situation
  8. Statistically it is trending well but I can’t help think there are a number of holes appearing in the boat and the afl are choosing to ignore the holes and point to the shiny things. I wonder how that plays out over the next decade or two.
  9. They are statistically incredibly lucky. I also deeply hate them. It’s no trope. No other team is capable of creating the hatred they can. On so many levels too
  10. The decision between going to football games and playing golf is getting easier by the year
  11. I really dont like the afl at all. I love the mfc but I have no interest in anything outside of it. It’s a corrupt backwater league. No integrity, corporatised to within an inch of its life. Unaccountable executives have meant I haven’t enjoyed watching it in years.
  12. Depends how you practice though as well. Block practice vs variable or creative practice etc
  13. No one in the media spoke about our injuries after our semi final loss till the start of next season. Same things happening now. We had no forward line! We will be in the top 4 flag favourites pre season again. They will be talking about how it’s a small fix that will make us unstoppable. The media are short sighted and reactionary and driven by click bait nonsense. Being soft, fragile etc gets more clicks than they did a lot right and got some really bad luck with their forward line through out the year. Our game plan is sustainable. We have A grade talent. We are good to go
  14. I don’t think any team would consider us soft after playing us. We are a pretty brutal contested football side
  15. Tune in next year to find out
  16. A psychologist can’t fix fundamental technical flaws and or a persons physical make up. No matter how good someone feels about themselves, certain situations will bring flaws to the front. They can only help maximise what you have. Max gawn will never be a great kick. He can improve but it’s not possible to make him a great kick because he isn’t built to be. Also, because someone missed a kick under pressure doesn’t mean they didn’t tick all the psychological boxes too. Sometimes your flaws just decide to show up because we all operate within a range. Fritsch, melksham, too etc have a tighter range than Oliver, Gawn, petracca etc.
  17. Pressure. Anyone who has played competitive sport has had the feeling of falling back into old habits when the pressure is on. Correcting such habits can be a years long process. Sometimes we also just have our ceilings.
  18. You want rivers out for smith? Rivers!
  19. Seems the easiest way to open the game up these days. We are terrible at it
  20. They’re also super clean. It was nice to watch a team play with such crispness. Especially the second quarter. It looked elite.
  21. That’s very dramatic
  22. They’re a highly skilled team
  23. Strange things happen in sport. No one does what we did in one half of a grand final either
  24. I just don’t see it as the failure you do. Losses compared to what? Winning the flag? Last year we were cooked all over the ground. This year we were cooked in one third of the ground. Not making excuses, I’d like to see us work some areas of our game out that have been a problem for some time. But we have the players we have and you can’t always get who you want in to the side. The fact we should have won both games hurts but is also really promising. With no forward line and very few ball users we should be in a prelim. Draft/trade well this year and we could find something that makes a difference. You could have judged many coaches too early. Top 4 three tears in a row is tough to do. Winning flags is very hard
  25. I don’t think the epl is a good example for coaching. They are over the top reactive and they have an enormous pool to choose from.
