He can still be traded...

Mate every game is a danger game.
We could be playing Northern Saints in the EDFL and it would still be a danger.
For context:
13/6/15
Greenvale: 48.17 - 305
Northern Saints: 1.6 - 12

Melbourne Cricket Gd @MCG 5m5 minutes ago
@SENfooty: No car parking at MCG today due to wet conditions. Please share and broadcast. #aflDonsDees
Looks like no bbq's in the carpark then

I think it's extremely unfair to group Jamar, Dunn and Garland in with Sylvia and Frawley.
I'm adamant that the first three have given their all for this club, and I will always respect them for that.

I'd give them our second rounder plus Howe. I think that's probably more realistic, but then again, GWS did apparently offer an early first rounder for Howe.
I'd offer our first rounder + Howe, and that still probably wouldn't get it done

I know he was elevated.
That doesn't mean he will get a game.
But he needs to be elevated just to get named an emergency.
No point in elevating him if you're not going to play him in the seniors. Elevate him, play him in the VFL, he does his hammy and is out for 4 - spot on the senior list wasted.

I'm guessing you're one of the those blokes who believes that depression is a mood and can be changed on a whim? He didn't think melbourne was the best environment to continue his football career. I, too, was annoyed that he didn't want to be at Melbourne but understood that it could be the best for his health to move clubs. What more did you want him to do? Let me remind you of a few things he did.
- He forfeited his earnings for this year (possible some of last)
- Got us some form of compensation when he got traded
If Nathan Jones can get around him, don't you think that maybe he's not the big bad wolf that everyone has made him out to be?
FFS we just had a tragedy last week. Do I need you to remind you about the sentiment that life is more important than football that was going around on the weekend. Would it make you feel better if he stayed around and you woke up one day to find out he was no longer with us?
I'm not sure it's appropriate to suggest that CB would prefer Mitch Clark dead. Nor do I think it's appropriate to use the recent tragedy to further your own agenda. Regardless, my view is that if Mitch Clark wasn't 'mentally stable' (for lack of a better term) enough to continue at Melbourne, then he shouldn't have continued his AFL career at all. If Mitch Clark was willing to work in a high pressure environment like the AFL, and subject himself to the pressures of the media, then there is no doubt in my mind that he could have continued at Melbourne. If he had expressed even the slightest desire to repay the faith the Melbourne Football Club showed him, then he would have had the support of thousands of fans, including me. Instead, he chose to leave, and that is why I have zero respect for him.

Trouble is Daniher is too tall for Dunn and McDonald
Have you seen Daniher try to kick it recently?
We want the ball in his hands!
-
Essendon probably looking at another rebuild
Might be able to pick off some players
-
Does Dunn get the goal assist there?

I reckon Spencer goes forward to give their defence something to think about with Dawes, Hoges, Howe and Spencer. Howe and Hogan both good below the knees, despite what some "expert commentators like to think" so being too tall in our forward line wont be a problem.
Maybe a Matt Jones or Howe to run with Lecras if Garland is needed on Darling. Didnt Matt Jones do a job on someone against Geelong..?
I thought Matt Jones might be useful on Hurn

He should be a superstar. Has all the talent. Can get 30 touches a game and kick bags of goals.
Look at this scorecard. He can have 8's and 9's level games and then follow it up with 4's and 5's.

You'd probably be the only person to say he's not inconsistent.
Are you seriously using that as a measure of a player's consistency?
Take Bernie Vince for example, a player I and many others on here would class as a very consistent performer.

Was rated an 8+ three times this year, yet has also managed to score 4 on four different occasions. It's obvious that you don't watch GC games at all, otherwise you would know how good Bennell has been this year.
-
Well with the demonland crowd he needs to play about 4 times better than Hogan to get the same amount of credit
No, not at all. Dawes will receive credit when he is deserving, just as he did after the Adelaide game last year. But he hasn't produced anything near that level this year.

Send him a tape of the Dees vs. Cats match and then remind him that Hogan, Petracca, Trengrove, Vanders, Kent & JKH still have to come into the team!
And Salem!

Where did I say I expected a serious game with fast ball movement? Try not putting words into other's mouths mc.
Good cause, yes. Fun to watch, no. Cringeworthy, definitely.
Wasn't putting words in your mouth. Your post just came across as if you thought the game wasn't 'serious' enough so they might as well go to the complete opposite end of the spectrum.
-
Would be better if they all dressed in clown suits and ran around throwing cream pies and pulling each other's pants down. Terrible match, embarrassing. Just needs canned laughter to complete the cringeworthness. Sorry to rain on your parade Dazz.
Lighten up a bit mate. Once you realise that it's not meant to be a serious game with fast ball movement and good skills, it's actually pretty enjoyable to watch. All just a bit of fun for a good cause

I don't see why you're worrying?
More wins = More memberships
It's as simple as that

Id much rather be on the party squad
And id never play for a captain who tried to make the team pray before a game. No wonder they are a rabble.
Ablett made them do this?

Have heard rocket isnt scared of trading out blokes he doesn't think will buy in, big chance we don't want those ones.
Yep. While a lot of them may have talent, the last thing we want is a bunch of Sam Bleases running around who don't give a flying [censored].
And I'm not sure a lot of other clubs would either. GC could be stuck with them.

West Coast are the type of team who absolutely smash worse teams - so I'm kind of worried about this game.
Supposedly, so were Geelong

thought buddy was lucky
thought it intentional or reckless, not careless
I think the careless grading is in reference to Buddy making contact with Edwards' head. i.e. He may have laid an illegal tackle etc but it was not his intention to make contact with Edwards' head
-
Playing against the worst team in the comp. No thanks.
Still, how many players on our list can play like him, regardless of the opposition?
Delistings/trades at end of the season

We can't go into next season with all 4 of Garland, Howe, Cross and Grimes, right?
Howe - Likely gone at end of season
Cross - May retire this year, will definitely be rested if he plays on next year
Grimes - Garland is far better than, otherwise Grimes would be in the side
But by all means, get rid of Garland.
