'Every player is tradeable'

Agree with the quote. But Nathan Jones isnt. -
I do agree with this, to some degree. Tyson definitely has the potential to be a star, when he has support, he wont be caught with the ball and his work will look unbelievable. Not to mention, he finds as much time as Pendles does. Salem has the physical attributes that could make him a star also. It's too early to comment on this trade, but if you want to talk about it, so far we've won.

The way Tyson is going, he will be a top 5-10 midfielder in the comp. He is a big bodied midfielder who can mark, kick goals and most importantly, find the footy. But the main thing is, both Tyson and Kelly look like great players.. Kelly still needs to reach Tyson's level though, because at the moment he's not even close. Yet, more importantly, it's about Salem also. If Salem can become an absolute gun, which i've seen enough to think that the kid will be an absolute jet, then we are a clear winner. Mark my words, Kelly will not be that much better than Tyson. Infact, Tyson has every chance to be alot better than Kelly. I LOVE DOM

If anyone thinks re-signing Riley was....

I really like him and the way he goes about his footy. He attempts to break tackles and burst through packs, yet lacks polish. He may or may not get to the point where he can successfully do this. If he does, he could be an unbelievable player. Can polish be taught or practiced? -
putting his average disposals doesnt really show much.. Salem has been the sub a considerable amount of times, it's an invalid statistic. Not to mention, he is being played out of position
-
This i agree with, completely. However, what he will eventually do, is help our potential game-breakers (such as Tyson, N Jones.. ext). By help, i mean, give them the ball from the inside. Some weeks we may not notice how well he is playing, but rather, will be an unsung hero.

I think that the more and more Mich plays, the more he will look comfortable as an AFL player. I take two huge positives out of his game: 1. He is able to find the footy, he doesnt languish around 12 disposals (not usually), but rather goes and collects the hard footy. 2. He has good hands and great awareness. Both are key to making a quality midfielder. I think we could have a really good footballer on hands here.

That's not true about Macrae, he was very average last year. Bontempelli has definitely look amazing, just only played a minimal amount of games. Aish really hasnt been that good, he's had good moments. Billings is classy and will be a gun, but also has had some seriously quiet moments

Post Match Discussion - Round 22

Just read a thing or two about Tyson taking too long to make decisions, but i dont think enough people have put it into perspective. Dom has no one running for him, no targets or support, therefore he holds the ball too long and tries to create options and space. He is actually very evasive and usually does create a fair bit of time, just sometimes gets caught. As we become better, this will stop happening. It doesnt say much about Dom as a player, but rather, he needs options and support. -
Macrae only came good this year, being his second year. Vlaustin has completely slowed down this year and is barely playing good football. Bontempelli has only played a handful of games, i'll admit he looks impressive, but still only a handful. Aish has been decent, i wouldnt say he has had a massive impact. Billings has struggled to find the footy and much like Salem, has done good things here and there, but nothing to rave on about. Dunstan has a good first few rounds, poor since then

This site has hit a new low. Firstly, he had absolutely no preseason. Secondly, Salem is a midfielder, not a deep forward pocket player. When he develops the engine (remember, he missed the preseason) and the strength, he will play in our midfield. He is not going to dominate in a position his game isnt suited for. Thirdly, he tackles, puts defensive pressure on and has an elite kick, everything we need. Dont get antsy just because he hasnt been the quick fix
