  1. No problem there. It fits nicely with the AFL narrative which puts Sydney in contention and hopefully winning another flag. Refer Barry Hall not guilty decision after belting Maguire in the prelim final, No bizarre decision is beyond these people.
  2. Throwing eggs is common assault,so thats not such a good idea. Though it is in a football context so we'll let it go.
  3. Let's award Sydney the four points if anyone boos Goodes during a game. That will certainly put an end to it. Perhaps a notice on the scoreboard that you're not allowed to boo him. The message to not smoke inside the MCG has definitely stopped people from smoking there.
  4. I couldn't be bothered booing Goodes. But to claim that everyone who is doing so has a racist motivation is facile and weak. If that's all you've got to offer then keep your ideas to yourself. Base your comment on something tangible. Judge a person after you meet and interact with them. There's a good starting point
  5. Ok I couldnt kick a ball 10 metres, i couldn't run 50 metres unless someone was chasing me with an axe. The high point of my footy career was the first 18 at St Pauls Bentleigh ( I was good) But what I cant work out for the life of me is why, when Watts dishes off a handball to a teammate, doesnt he run on to protect the team mate with the ball??? Sheperd for gods sake. Give your mate a fighting chance. Many others could have done the same but didn't either.
  6. park anywhere you like around there. Your car will be stolen and rebirthed within the hour. public tansport is good so dont worry too much about the loss.
  7. He was number 33, which is about his ranking amongst his colleagues. Some ordinary conveyances ahead of him.
  8. Brent Wallace. He was a shocking kid at school. Cheeky, unpleasant little brat and on todays showing will be another terrible umpire. Why should he be any different from the others?
  9. Had a double Lagavulin after the recent Essendon loss. (my first one ) They say alcohol is not the answer but, you know, sometimes it is the answer. I will repeat the dose if we knock off the Saints.
  10. Why the umpires wait ages at a stoppage for the ball to pop out when it's clear to any half baked moron[quote namAh yes, the umpiring was poor. That 50 against JKH is something they never pay anymore, happens basically every game and goes uncalled. As for the genuine attempt thing, most of the time that's pretty much the umpire guessing. I saw Casey yesterday and the umpire just balls it off when a player has the ball pinned to him rather than showboating and using jargon. Do they ever point out what a genuine attempt actually is? They just decide to call it holding the ball when they've waiting too long to whistle for a ball up, it's stupid
  11. And when we can shake that mindset not if, we will improve 40% overnight
  12. There is every chance Mandee, especially if you used to sit next to the radio as a kid and write down the goals and points as they were kicked. And now go crazy telling the opposition fans through the telly to SHUT UP and drink a whiskey or two after the game to help restore your equilibrium.
  13. Excuse me Uncle BBO, I used to be favourably compared to Alain Delon and with good reason.
  14. Yes L D V C. Robinson has got a head like a busted bum. Oh M G it's a shocker!
  15. you sound like a desperate old perve Samael. I like you.
  16. 1) I started to follow the dees in 1964 when I was 7. They were the best. I think at age 7 you really start to understand footy. Paradoxically now I no longer understand footy( at least our version of it ) 2) First favourites Ross Dillon and Greg Parke. I thought Hassa Mann was pretty good too. 3) Beating Carlton in that 2000 Qualifying Final with Schwarz on fire and Cam Bruce kicking the sealer. Never had so much joy in seeing opposition fans suffer. 4) Having Essendon peg back a 51 point lead from 6 minutes into the last quarter to beat us in a canter. 5) in 1965 I watched Melbourne lose their first match that season after 8 straight wins. I thought us unbeatable that day. I had the same thought as I walked into the G yesterday against guess who.
  17. Looks like I've picked the wrong week to give up crack cocaine.
  18. How about the classic Tommy Lahiff line during a cross to the Collingwood rooms. " I'm in the Collingwood rooms Harry, Daicos' has got a groin" A great relief for all the listeners.
  19. low impact , in play, unintentional, accidental, $ 300 fine ( I'll be amazed if the finding is much different )
  20. That would be Arte Johnson as the German soldier who would regularly say on Laugh In " Verrrrry interesting, but stupid" to some comment someone had made on the show. What a good show that was !!!!
  21. James is right of course. Sam Mitchell was naive and idiotic to make the jabbing motion on Saturday. Tisk tisk I guess that makes those Collingwood cheer squad members leaning over the fence and making the same gestures last year in the game against the Bummers naive and idiotic as well. The Collingwood cheer squad is a barometer and a reflection of society. Could they be wrong?
  22. . adversed ?????? Are you kidding me ? I agree with what you're trying to say Adam but I wouldn't be averse to you not writing adversed.
